Coronado Fans-PLEASE POST WITH REVIEWS & RECENT PHOTOS!

I stayed at CSR Dec 7th through the 15th of December 2007.
My stay was wonderful!! I cannot say enough great things about this resort!

I checked in early 8:00 am on Sunday the 7th of December and my room was not ready (to be expected). I made note with the CM after I realized my room was not ready as to my preference (attached to my ressie) they seemed to have no idea of it so I graciously reminded them of my desire to be in Cabanas. (I was originally going into Ranchos the only section I DID not want to be in) The CM stated that the resort was booked to capacity but would see what they could do! He called a supervisor in and VOILA! Cabanas 9A water view to boot! AN UPGRADE!!!

I was given a number to call later in the day to check on the status of my room and HAPPILY off to the parks I went!

After staying at the POP for 2 days previous to this resort all I can say is Wow!~ The buses were AWESOME always got a seat and never waited more than 10 minutes for one! One night after MVMCPO the lines were at least 50 people deep in all queues.. there were 4 people in ours! The buses were worth the price of the hotel itself in my honest opinion!

The Pepper market food was Fab especially for counter service. The house keeping services were exceptional always plenty of shampoo and conditioner and my room was always clean!

I've stayed at POP, POR, BC and must say that this resort is my second fave after BC!

The only con I can say about this resort are...

It is BIG but the buses are frequent and you can hop on one to get to El Centro.. forget about the golf carts they never pick you up!

Any other questions feel free to ask!

We were at the CSR in September for the 6th time (going back for the 7th this September) and had a wonderful stay. Here are just a few of the pictures we took:

Wow it looks beautiful. Does it have much Disney feel to it? We loved POP with our 6 year old, because it felt so kid friendly and like we were at Disney. How do the mods compare as for as the "disney feeling" you get on property?

I believe it does but not in a "in your face" manner like the values. To me its like two vacations in one.

I have stayed at POFQ and CBR, but never at CSR. I might try and split my stay this year 5 days at Pop and 5 days at CSR. After looking at Buzz's site, it looks so beautiful and the pool looks awesome.

IMHO you really can't go wrong staying on site no matter where you stay. Disney resorts just have that special something that the others don't.

I think that as far as the mods go CSR is more like a deluxe then the others.

This place is awesome. My kids ages 11-16 said they will only go back to WDW if we stay at CSR. If you choose to stay here, definitely take a day to enjoy this resort.

Here's a thread with some great CSR pics!

I just got back from a 9 night stay at CSR and we thought it was beautiful. We ate at Pepper Market alot more than I thought we would but it was very nice. Big portions and the hugest cinnamon rolls I have ever seen. Here is some pictures and a few that I think Buzz wanted to see of the Laguna bar.

And another...

We were at Coronodo Springs from Sept 20-23 before heading over to the Poly for seven nights. Thank you so much, Buzz, for you're beautiful website! We would not have tried CS if not for that and we ended up loving it! I am just bummed as next time my youngest will be three and we will not be able to stay there again. :sad1:

Anyway, we checked in on the 20th around 12:30 pm. Our room wasn't ready, so we explored the resort and had lunch at the Pepper Market. My family loved the Pepper Market. There was a large selection with huge portions. We did not find it confusing at all. We checked back in around 2:30 and our room was ready. We were in Casitas building 1 on the first floor. I was delighted until we opened the door and we were hit with a disgusting smell. My five year old immediately yells "Yuck, it smells like poop in here!" Anyway, it was actually cigarette smoke. The room smelled like it had been recently smoked in and it reeked. My DH went to go to the front desk and immediately returned with a lady in a suit. I mean, less than five minutes later. Come to find out, she was walking near the room and he grabbed her. She came and checked out the room and couldn't believe how badly it smelled. She said that they have been having problems with people still smoking in the non smoking rooms. I will add that we were right next to a courtyard were smoking was permitted, so it was pretty ridiculous that someone couldn't take ten steps outside to smoke. The lady was wonderful and called the main desk and had us moved down three doors within ten minutes. I was so pleased with the great customer service. I had new keys delivered to my door within another ten minutes and Magical Express delivered my luggage immediately thereafter. Yay!

The grounds of CS are gorgeous! The dig sight is fantastic! After moving to the Poly my kids (12 and 5) told me more than once that they liked the Coronodo pools better. My 12 yo said that the Coronodo slide was faster and more fun than the Poly slide. The playground was a big plus for my 5yo and 2yo.

I was super lucky to be in a building right next to El Centro and on the first floor. I can see that if you were way in the back I may have not been as happy because it is a hike from some of those rooms to El Centro. The beauty of the resort and the friendliness of every staff member I encountered would make it worth it though, I think. Also, mousekeeping was very good. No towel animals, but I don't expect them anyway, so no problem. Here are a couple of pics.
