We have some newer people around these days and I thought it would be nice to introduce ourselves. :thumbsup2

Tell us what your DISer name means, and your real name if you want to.

Mine is just my name, not very creative. My name is Shannone (don't pronounce the e). My mom just wanted me to be different and all my life people have been calling me Shan-one or Sha-known :rolleyes1 It's just Shannon ;)

My mom didn't want me to be different, I just turned out that way.

No originality in my user name - I just like to be known as Ftwildernessguy. I even make my kids call me that.

I'm Jamie.

Since I was a member of several forums before finding the Dis, I just kept using the same name for all of them to keep it easy to remember. The first forum site I joined was lawnsite.com where we talk about lawn maintenance and landscaping. I have a landscape business which Lawn Specialties is the company's name.

Our family loves to camp but since I'm a full-time firefighter and a landscaper, warm weather trips are few and far between. But Fort Wilderness in January is right up my alley.:thumbsup2

We leave next friday for our second January trip. The first was in '06 which was when I found out about disboards. Just getting away from here for ten days with my wife and sons is good enough, it really wouldn't matter where we went. :)

My DIS name is for what I do for a living. I do emissions testing on smokestacks at places such as power plants, asphalt plants, cement and chemical plants. If it has a stack I'll test it lol.

A lot of people think I climb in the top of the stack and test it there but I actually test them about 1/2 way up the stack. We use a sampling probe that extracts the gas out of the gas stream and the sample is either run thru an analyzer or taken to a lab for analasys. So there's your stacktesting lesson for the day lol. If you ever look at a stack when you drive by a facility they will usually have a platform about in the middle. I'll put a DIS'er sticker on the side of the stack so you'll know if I am testing it. Oh, and if anybody wants to know what's the wierdest stack you've ever seen it was in Winston, NC. The cigarette plant has stacks that are painted as a cigarette. CCIntrigue has probably seen tham.

"Official front porch Burl stand in."

I knew Burl Ives Mr. Quayle, and you're no Burl Ives. I just had to throw that in there since we're talking about names.

I'm Julie and I'm a girl hence juligrl. It's the name I use on other forums I'm on too.

Horses are a passion of mine. I'm just plain crazy to feed and take care of 3 (2000lbs each) I read once that the average horse produces 9 ton of manure in a yr. 9x3=27 ton Thankfully they spend 1/2 of each day outside but I still personally have to pitch by hand the remaining 13.5 tons.:headache:

My real name Is Michael. I am from Texas which is the lone star state. So thats were I got my name and like the others have said, I already was using the name on a different site.

Holy crap !! :rotfl2: I bet you have some kick butt arm muscles though :thumbsup2

Mine is also my name and first letter of my last name, years ago I thought of a pretty good disney name and wanted to change it but you can't go back and change. :)

It's a job best done every day. Only takes about 30 minutes. If we go away for a few days I have my grown kids do chores. I never ask that they clean stalls. I'm always thankful that they come and feed. When we return home I do play my weak female excuse with my husband and get him to help out then:thumbsup2

What a cute idea, Shannone!

Well, back when MK was the whole world, I stayed at the Polynesian for my very first trip to WDW. I have been hooked ever since. I love all the lush gardens and peaceful tropical feel~almost as gorgeous as the real Hawaiian islands. You could even swim at the beach back then~anybody remember that? Seeing the castle and the fireworks on the horizon is just too magical to put into words! As much as I love, love, love FtW~there is nothing like that first love :lovestruc My 3 daughters first trip to WDW was also at the Poly. Ahhhh, memories!

Pixie, well, I just like pixies. Totally believe in them! Plus it flows~Polynesian Pixie. I'm also not exactly tall. Quite short, actually. So, it fits.

I've also been known to answer to Mommy, "Hey, Miss?", and Ami. When I colored with crayon on the hearth and poured bleach and ruined the floor, I was called "Ami Melissa!" Sorry, thinking back on my first trip to the Poly made me feel like a kid again.

I'm surprised you can remember that - you must have been only 1 or 2 at the time.

My name is pretty self-explanatory, however, I will explain.

Auburn - The loveliest village on the plains of Alabama and the place where I graduated from.

Jen- My first name.

92- The first time I graduated from Auburn.

I am a high school softball coach and instructional media technology specialist at my HS and basically I teach the teachers how to run all the tech stuff at our school.

Other than work, going to Auburn games and going to Disney, there isn't much else.;)

Hey everyone.
My name is Tina, the H is my last name initial from my prior marriage. The 159 is my ID number where I work. I work the midnight shift as a police and fire communications officer.

This sounds like a meeting of Bill W's dim witted brothers and sisters

Hi, I'm Gatordad, I'm addicted to camping

Dis Boards "Hi Gatordad"

I picked Gatordad, because that's where I want my kids to go to school. So much so I started my MBA there. My real name is Pete, and out of everyone on this board, I probably like Disney the least. However, I love the people at the Fort, and the fellow disboarders. Even Pixie and Dreambound, but not Rog or Stacktester, well maybe a little, but not too much, in a manly way of course.

:lmao:

I thought I was gonna have to cry for a second or two there. :sad1: You got me all worried.
