Beach Club - Breakfast Question

We will be staying at the BC arriving next Wed. Can anyone confirm if the Cape May Cafe is the only place for breakfast in the hotel? I see it is a designated character breakfast location. Although I am by no means penny pinching on this vacation (3 nights at the BC and 3 nights at Universal's Hard Rock) - I'm really not all that thrilled to spend $100 on breakfast. My kids are 11, 13, and 15 - and not too interested in the character meals.

Is there a small market or something similar for danish, coffee, etc, to grab on the run? How about the ability to sit down for breakfast but not necessarily for a full buffet at $20+ a head.

How about the parks themselves. I kind of recall the MK has a nice bakery on Main Street. Do most of the parks have something similar, or actual restaurants that serve breakfast that are not character meal? :confused3

You've got a lot of options. There is a grab and go with danish and muffins and such in the lobby store. You could get full srevice breakfast at the Yacht Club Gally. Take a five minute walk to Picabu at the Dolphin, reasonable prices, cafeteria style and Starbucks coffee (that one would be my choice most mornings). The BW Bakery is five minutes away.

It's a great hotel, enjoy!

They have Marketplace which has made to order breakfast sandwiches and also donuts, cereal, bread, english muffins, etc. for you to take back to your room. There's always room service as well.

We enjoyed just getting some cinnamon buns and muffins and coffee at the Marketplace and bringing them back up to the room before the kids would wake up. Then I would sit on the little balcony and have breakfast. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Thanks Anne! Where is the Starbucks located?

Restaurants in the Swan and Dolphin all serve Starbucks coffee - Pikabu is the 24 hour cafeteria in the Dolphin. There is no free-standing Starbucks on Disney property.

When we've stayed at both the Yacht and Beach Club and also enjoy getting breakfast from either the Marketplace or the Boardwalk Bakery and enjoying it in our room. :)

There's also a little nook off the lobby in the YC that has coffee, juice, milk, cereal, fruit, and danish/bagels that rarely has any line.... I find that the BC Marketplace is usually packed, but most people forget about the YC lobby.... :thumbsup2

Hi, The BC Marketplace is a BUSY and great stop to pick up breakfast in the morning!(there are also sandwiches and salads the rest of the day) But taking it back to your room is not your only option, there is a LARGE SUNROOM off of the hallway that leads to the Marketplace. In here you will find small tables with chairs, couches with coffee tables and ALOT of people having breakfast! (it is my DH and my favorite spot in the morning:goodvibes ) There are also a few high tables and chairs inside the Marketplace and an outdoor eating area a few steps outside the Marketplace. ENJOY! Where is this little nook at the YC?

Fresh @ the Dolphin is IMO the best breakfast buffet on site, especially for kids that are "too old" for the character meals. Besides the buffet, they also have menu items that can be ordered. Here is a link to the prices & menu:

Hope that helps!
