What's your favorite offsite restaurant? It can be anything from seafood, Mexican, Japanese.........

Looking for another place to dine besides Disney establishments. I liked Kobe steakhouse next to Arabian Nights but that was 2 years ago. So where's a place with great food lately?

We also love Fish Bones & Bahama Breeze. You can't beat Flipper's for pizza and sandwiches, great pizza for cheap!

I was the OP in the PP's link. These are the places we chose....

Texas de Brazil is good but you gotta love meat as this place is expensive. Register at their website for discounts via email.

I like Giordano's for pizza.

Charley's Steakhouse is also good. But pricey.

I want to give Bahama Breeze and Celebration Town Tavern a try next time.

Depends on if you've got kids with you or not. If so, then Bahama Breeze or the Melting Pot would be good choices. If not, then Seasons 52, The Samba Room, or Chistini's (has a dress code requiring jackets for men, and NO children under school age allowed--think V&A's Italian style) are all good choices.

If you want to eat casual where the locals do, head to Gators Dockside (in Cagan Crossings about 1/2 mile north of 192 on 27 in Clermont), Tijuana Flats (many locations) , or San Joses. All three are chains, San Joses only has two locations, I'd choose the one on 27 (Kings Ridge Plaza) in Clermont, the Winter Garden/Ocoee location is in a sketchy area.

We have only been once but DH and I really enjoyed the Celebration Town Tavern. Its a taste of New England in Florida.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Another vote for Seasons 52. We were there December 23 for the first and it was fabulous. Another fave is Texas de Brazil. It is pricey (but worth it), but if you get on their email list, they send you discounts all the time.

I have a few favorite offsite restaurants.

The Cheese Cake Factory in the Mall at Millenia.
Golden Corral location at Lake Buena Vista/535.
Shells Seafood Restaurant located at 192 Eastbound.
Any Olive Garden location in the Orlando area.

technically "offsite"

mythos @ Universal; best food we've eaten in any theme park, possibly MCO :thumbsup2 (except for the filet @ Ca Grill)

citiwalk - margarittaville is fun, haven't tried emerils yet

DH and I dined at Emerils years ago before kids and absolutely loved the food. You dine with nice china, and the flavors in all our dishes(party of 4 adults) were exceptional! Not a very " romantic setting" as the main room is a large open type area. But still a great dining experience.

This one is OK, but don't get the Caesar salad there--the dressing is terrible.

Golden Corral location at Lake Buena Vista/535.

I don't get the fascination with this place. The food is very low quality, and unless you want to stuff yourself silly without worrying about cost, I can't see why anyone would eat there. :confused3

Another place that I don't understand why people like it. It's fast food served table service. The food is just shy of bad. If you want good casual Italian, try Macaroni Grill or Carrabba's. But you don't get all you can eat soup/salad with those two, maybe that's why people like Olive Garden? Personally I'd rather spend the $1.99 to get a side salad and GOOD food than free salad with bad food. JMHO.

No offense, but seeing as how you spend the money to stay CL, I'm surprised that you eat at these places when there are so many really good places in the area. :confused3

I couldn't agree more--the flavors at Emerils are amazing! I had one of the best meals ever there a couple years back, sitting at the bar when they first opened that evening. I agree it's not terribly romantic, but it's delicious!
