I am in the business office of CSR, checking on my weather for back home in PA on Sun....looks like we may end up staying here one extra night since snow is heading to PA this weekend.

how did your trip back home to PA turn out? What was your room #? Did you enjoy CSR? We are going for 12/23-12/30! Any tips would be helpful! Thanks!

Hi DisneyLunaTics: we got home safely before the worst hit us; the snow/ice storm was quite a shock after the 80 degree temps all week at Disney!

We were in the Ranchos section, room 7100. We were on the far side of the resort from El Centro, where the main restaurants and lobby are. We had a rental car, so it wasn't a big deal to us, because the parking lot surrounds the resort. If we would have had to walk, though, it would have been inconvenient I think with a 4 year old. I must say the ranchos was very quiet; we never had any problems with noise. We walked around the resort one night, and noticed a lot of people congregating / partying outside the casitas section. The pool at the casitas always seemed full, where the ranchos pool never had more than 5 other people in it the whole time we were there. Even the dig site pool was relatively empty. I think the noise was partly due to the fact that the World Salsa Dancing Championships were being held, and all the teams were socializing.

I hope you have a wonderful time; we really like csr. Definitely take time to explore the resort after the sun sets; the lights of the buildings reflecting on the lake at night is simply stunning!

Lets see, today is the 2nd and we are leaving on the 22nd, so 20 more days and we will be there at CSR!

Extended hours are at MGM that evening and DS is a huge Star Wars fan so it looks like we will be doing Star Tours several times that night and I hope he gets picked for the Jedi training. He has an Obi-won costume and he might wear it that night!
