Grrrr - can't make my Palo reservation online

OK, I stayed up until midnight to make my Palo reservations. I got a message that I couldn't make any reservations or book shore excursions online because my cruise was either not paid in full or I didn't provide a complete birthdate for each member of my family. I know all of the birthdate information is correct, because I can see it on my reservation. I used DVC points to book this cruise, so I'm wondering if DVC has dropped the ball somewhere and DCL considers my reservation "unpaid."

Oh well, I doubt if I would have gotten the reservation anyway since this is my first cruise with DCL and I had to wait until 75 days out to try to make this reservation.

Off to get a good night's sleep. I'll just have to call DCL in the morning and find out what the problem is.

Yes, when the concierge (suite) guests and returning cruisers (Castaway Cay members) have already had their chance to make reservations for Palo, there aren't a lot of spaces available for first-time cruisers to book online.

Rest assured, there are spaces available for booking once you're on board. A quick trip to the reservations location (Wavebands on the Wonder; Diversions (?) on the Magic) should take care of the matter. We've added dinner reservations, changed reservations, added brunch, et cetera at this time quite easily.

How could they disappoint someone who knows that Palo is Palo, not Palo's?

This happened to me a few weeks ago when I tried booking all my things....what you have to do is sign out completly from the website and sign back in when you get that message. I had to do it about 4 times before it let me actually get in and reserve Palo and excursions and the like.

Sorry it happened to you. It seems to happen often on the website.

I was able to get into "My Cruise Plans" this morning, and while I wasn't able to get the brunch (I didn't think I would), I was able to get dinner. I didn't get the night I wanted, but I had my choice between the nights we were in St. Maarten and St. Thomas. I ended up looking at the menu's for both nights, and I decided on the St. Maarten night, which is the same night at the Pirate party. I have late seating, and I was a little worried about making it the party on time anyway.

I'll try to get the brunch once I get on board. If I can't get it, it's no biggie. At least I'll get to experience it one time!

This happened to me. I got up at 4.45(UK time) for the midnight bookings opening. The same message came up. I tried a couple of times, same thing, and then went back to bed very annoyed and didn't get back to sleep!! Like you, I did manage to get a Palo dinner in the morning and I I did hear that all the brunch reservations had gone anyway so I couldn't have booked that. Felt a bit better then.

Can't understand why they can't get this sorted if it keeps happening.

I don't know about the ressies, but IMHO, Palo dinner is far superior to Palo brunch. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

I beg to differ. In my opinion, Palo brunch is 1000 times better than the dinner. Although the chocolate souffle is out of this world.
