We're coming in the night before and are looking for a decent restaurant in Cape Canaveral (where we're staying). Any suggestions?

There is a greek diner next to the Radisson that is very good, with a nice family-friendly atmosphere.

We didn't stay at Ron Jon, but we had dinner there. Nothing very special, but it was a good meal.

We have some great restaurants here and then the chain lines ones are at Merritt Island which is a barrier island between Cocoa Beach and Cocoa.
Lot of folks like going to Grill's and Rusty's at Port Canaveral. They have pretty good food, you can sit and watch the boats, ships etc go by. You can feel the sea gulls and pelicans the food you just can't finish even though you are asked not to do it around the restaurants since the birds can get pushy for good. Its pretty relaxing to sit by the water - then you have the CB Pier which has a couple of great restaurants that sits right over the ocean. I love their Sunday brunch and I love sitting that close to the ocean.
On that thread I sent you, there are links to most of the restaurants that you might be interested in.

We have eaten at Durango's also. Nice steak house. It is down towards CB pier.

Durango's Steak House is nice and does have pretty good steaks although Norm and I have had a problem the last couple of times we stopped in there.
The steak were kinda tough - now I will say that our server was "johnny on the spot" when we felt we had a issue and changed them out. They are just across the street from us which makes it nice. Norm likes going there for he can try out all the types of margaretia's they make and between 6 to 8, I believe, its 2 for one. Anyhow I believe all the restaurants are pretty good and have their own styles.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I didn't even think to look for a link on the Dis boards.

We always eat at Grills, lunch, dinner the day before, and breakfast the day of the cruise. It has always been fresh and wonderful!

I looked on line and they don't mention a children's menu. Do you know if they have one?

When you leave on the Disney ships there are two restaurants on the right as the ship leave they are right next to the launch ramp for personal boats on the way to Jetty Park.

We have gone down to the area and watched the fishermen come back from fishing and then went in the restaurants and watched all the cruise ship leave including the Magic and Wonder. It is a heck of alot of fun and both restaurants are good. We prefer the one with the outdoor band and music the food seem alittle better.

Wish we could remember the names of the places but only know where they are. If you follow the signs to the one casino ship (the First One) it will take you right to the village they are both in.

The two that you are talking about is Grills which is the one right next to the launch area and the one next to the casino boat (Sun Cruz) is Fishlips and both of these are located on Glen Cheek Road in Port Canaveral.
