22nd-24th december anyway been at this time, how busy...?

okay so it's the last weekend before christmas (eek) i must be mental.

anyone been this close before how busy was it?

Should i take an electric cattle prod just in case or prepare to be pleasently suprised, i'm kind of hoping everyone else will be so busy getting in last minute xmas stuff that the park will be all mine mwahahahaha!!

I somehow doubt it....

Hmmmm, well I'll be there from 20 - 23 December, but I guess you won't mind just 2 more people.
I've never been at this time of year before, but I have read of awfully long queues and HUGE crowds so I have warned my daughter that it could be a trip of mostly soaking up atmosphere and IF we fit any rides in then it will be a bonus.
But there's Belle's Village, the special stuff in Disney Village, the parade, Fantillusion, Candleabration....should be plenty to amuse.

No i don't mind sharing the park with some people!!!

this is my third christmas visit but never so close i went for first day christmas 2005 (november 6th i think it was) last year i went 1st December and this year 21st-24th.

Have heard Christmas Eve is meant to be lovely and quiet so have rearranged my flights for the extra hours on that day as am expecting the weekend to be pretty busy so even if the weekend is manic that day things should be calmer (i'll be half dead by then anyway )

I don't mind the crowds but it'll be my 7 year old nieces first trip (never took a child before!!!) so don't want to spend three days in line for everything or battling people! especially in these character scrums i keep reading about

I'll love it either way but like to be prepared for my holidays so if anyone knows what i can expect i can plan for it!!

That may work to my advantage - if you read my tag you will see that there's no WAY I'm going on TOT, but if everybody else is off in WDS trying it out, that will leave the Park free for meeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I quite agree-over my dead body springs to mind on TOT I'm a real wuss about the dark...hence you will never get me on space mountain! indiana jones nooo problem, turn a couple of lights out....forget it haha!!!

Hi! Newbie here!

We were there the 22 and 23 December and whilst it wasn't particularly busy, it was bloomin' cold! We hadn't dressed warmly enough and we ended-up shivering and damp from a misty drizzle.

yeah i am secretly hoping most normal people will be too busy putting in the last touches to christmas to be considering going to dlp those days (ahem..)
I will hopefully be super organised and ready by then to enjoy my trip.

oooh the damp mist, we experienced that last year...it's not so bad as long as you keep moving!!!
