Going on rides while wearing winter coats?

I am used to WDW, warm weather etc...

December is winter coat time at DLP, is there any problem getting on rides wearing them? (ie) Space Mountain in a big coat?

That was something I hadn't hought about before we went last November...now it is something I am thinking about before we go back this November! It is doable (to wear your coat on the rides) but can be uncomfortable (a bit tight for space with a bulky coat). My son (who was 4 at the time) kept taking his off and handing it to me everytime we went on a ride. It became alot of work, taking off the coat, mittens, scarf and hat...only to put them all back on as we exited...and then off again at the next ride. You WILL need to wear all the cold weather gear, so there is no avoiding it. Bring extra hats and gloves, as you may very well lose them on one of the rides.

Have a great trip! You just can't beat Disney in December...truely magical.

You shouldn't have any problems at all and you will need to wrap up warm - it can be very cold in DLP. We certainly had thick coats, gloves, scarves, hand warmers etc.

3 out of 4 of our trips have been during cold seasons and we've never had a problem with coats.
Unless you count the time when my boot buckle got caught in the seatbelt of Autopia and I didn't know it because I was wearing a large bright yellow poncho.
My son swears that the incident that followed as I tried to exit the car will end up on Youtube one day. :rotfl:

We have always travelled at the christmas season and have to say wearing all the winter gear has never been problem, cant say it ever occured to me that i was uncomfortable on any of the rides.

As said previously it is extremely cold so you will need them, but it all adds to the magic of DLP at this time of year.

I have always worn jeans and a sweater only in Nov/Dec, except on a few occassions when I wore a peacoat only because people looked at me oddly.

Last Nov was between 10-17 degrees most days, and also the first week of December.

last december was not so bad but 2 years ago we nearly froze to death it was so cold.
If you have younger children try sewing a length of elastic to their gloves and threading it through their sleeves as buying gloves in DLRP is very pricy

The high was 13 here today, and that was pretty darn chilly! I wouldn't want to be out all day without some kind of jacket to keep me warm. 17 would be awesome though, I'd love weather like that, sweater would be all you need.
