Hi guys:

I am bringing my kids to WDW OCt 30th for 7 nights. We go pretty often, but I am wondering if any of you can give me some tips on what I can surprise my soon to be 14 year old son with for a surprise.

My daughter (11) is doing Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and I am hoping to find something fun to surpise my son with as well.

We are already doing the Halloween party and I know he likes eating at Garden Grille....

Any suggestions???

TIA!

No there isn't really anything like the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for boys except the pirate thing which heck i wanted to do and i'm turning 18... but over at dowtown disney ( if you didnt know already ) they have a build your own lightsaber for 20 i think but if you go to MGM and go to star tours there is a box set to make your own lightsaber and in the set you can make 4 sabers and it is only 35 i believe... oh wear disney related hats because that is what ( so i've been told ) that the cast members are looking for to give away the million dreams.. they are looking for people who stand out so if you get your entire family to ( for example ) to wear mickey ears that is good because not many families have mickey ears.. also get you ears from MGM becasue there you can have your name in different founts and colors unlike in magic kingdom.. rides.. Haunted Mansion has changed ALOT from the old one... there is a meet and greet with Capt. Jack in Adventure land. hmm.. i can't really think right now so i will get back to this later

Thanks for the ideas! It is hard for a old lady to think like a 13 year old boy ! :lmao:

There is something over at the Wide World of Sports area that may interest him especially if he is into Nascar. It is called the Richard Petty driving experience. I don't know the full details on it and even if it is for his age group or not, but I did hear it was totally neat.

I believe that the Richard Petty Driving Experience is for the 18+ crowd because it involves driving and it is at high speeds. He'd need to be 16 at the least to drive the cars.

Disney Quest was a lot of fun. The virtual helmet stuff smelled a little but it's like the Disney parks but virtual :)

yea Richard Petty 18+.. Disney quest is.. ok i went and i didnt like it and if there ever was a gamer i'm it... yea that is a good question which resort are you stayin at?

I agree with Disney Quest. It is about $39.00 a day, but comes with the Water Park Fun and More tickets that can be added to your parkhopper.

Have you considered letting him bring a friend?

I think a mouse racer is one of those little boats you can drive. You can drive tham at Wilderness Lodge or the Boardwalk areas I think. I don't know what the ages for it are though.

They kinda look like this :

Thats correct but you can do them on most places that have water. DTD /POR both rent them for that area. All the MK resorts rent them . CSR and I think CBR have a small lake for them as well as the BWI/BY/YC area.

DD 13 drove us around last year and just had a blast
