Coronodo Springs Review

We were at Coronodo Springs from Sept 20-23 before heading over to the Poly for seven nights. Thank you so much, Buzz, for you're beautiful website! We would not have tried CS if not for that and we ended up loving it! I am just bummed as next time my youngest will be three and we will not be able to stay there again. :sad1:

Anyway, we checked in on the 20th around 12:30 pm. Our room wasn't ready, so we explored the resort and had lunch at the Pepper Market. My family loved the Pepper Market. There was a large selection with huge portions. We did not find it confusing at all. We checked back in around 2:30 and our room was ready. We were in Casitas building 1 on the first floor. I was delighted until we opened the door and we were hit with a disgusting smell. My five year old immediately yells "Yuck, it smells like poop in here!" Anyway, it was actually cigarette smoke. The room smelled like it had been recently smoked in and it reeked. My DH went to go to the front desk and immediately returned with a lady in a suit. I mean, less than five minutes later. Come to find out, she was walking near the room and he grabbed her. She came and checked out the room and couldn't believe how badly it smelled. She said that they have been having problems with people still smoking in the non smoking rooms. I will add that we were right next to a courtyard were smoking was permitted, so it was pretty ridiculous that someone couldn't take ten steps outside to smoke. The lady was wonderful and called the main desk and had us moved down three doors within ten minutes. I was so pleased with the great customer service. I had new keys delivered to my door within another ten minutes and Magical Express delivered my luggage immediately thereafter. Yay!

The grounds of CS are gorgeous! The dig sight is fantastic! After moving to the Poly my kids (12 and 5) told me more than once that they liked the Coronodo pools better. My 12 yo said that the Coronodo slide was faster and more fun than the Poly slide. The playground was a big plus for my 5yo and 2yo.

I was super lucky to be in a building right next to El Centro and on the first floor. I can see that if you were way in the back I may have not been as happy because it is a hike from some of those rooms to El Centro. The beauty of the resort and the friendliness of every staff member I encountered would make it worth it though, I think. Also, mousekeeping was very good. No towel animals, but I don't expect them anyway, so no problem. Here are a couple of pics.

that your pics are vibrant and beautiful. Makes you want to jump right in.

Thank you for the review! We are headed there in June!

Great review - love the pics! Glad you had a good stay. :wizard:

Can't wait to return next year.

Thanks for the review. We will be trying CSR for the first time this year (thanks to Buzz's wonderful information). I am very excited to try this resort and love to hear good things about it.

Thanks for the great review! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to check in at CSR on 11/25! :)

Thanks for your review. Glad you liked the CSR. We were there in September in the Casitas 5 building...it took me about 10 - 12 minutes roundtrip to walk to El Centro (although I am a fast walker). We can't wait until we go back next September for our 25th anniversary.

Question: you said your youngest would be 3 and you could not stay there next time. Why is that?

We are a family of five and once the little one turns 3 they won't let us stay there unless we get a suite. The suite was over 300.00, so I just can't justify that. :upsidedow

thanks for the review- I will be staying at CSR for the first time 11/29- can't wait!!

Great review and pictures! I'm glad to see the customer service was above par for you and delivered quickly. CSR is such a great resort.

Thanks for the review. We just returned from the NFFC Convention which was held at CS. We stayed at Sports on 9/28 because CS was totally booked. There was a large medical group and a computer group holding conventions at CS.
We checked in at 9AM on 9/29 and our room was not ready, but we were given another room in bldg 5 that was ready immediately. DH went to the NFFC convention while I moved the car and took the luggage into the room. We had first floor, courtyard view. The resort was very busy. The line for take-out was outside the door, but the line to get into the Pepper Market was not bad. We ate at Pepper Market several times. I had a Pepper Market refillable mug, so refills were free.
We had some noise from the luggage transfer trucks as were were the second room around the corner from the ramp. One afternoon I walked to the Dig Site to get DH some take-out food. It was good and they packed it for take-out. Even though we had a rental car, we checked in for our Continental flight back to NJ at the Resort Airline Check In Desk right outside the main lobby. Our bags made it back to NJ on our same flight. That was such a convenience for us since DH's back was hurting so I was doing all the luggage carrying. All in All a great trip, and a great Disneyana NFFC Convention.

Glad you had a nice stay! We love CSR, it is our favorite mod. We'll be back for Christmas this year.:santa:

Great pictures...thanks for sharing!

We are headed to CSR next May and can't wait to hit the Dig Site. My daughter loves the hammocks on the beach. It's great place to relax after the parks.

Thanks for the review I am heading to CSR for the first time in 17 days and I can't wait I am so excited ..great pics too!

We have always found the CM's terrific at the CSR. They have gone out of their way to be helpful, they are always smiling and when things are slow, they love to have a conversation with you. We were in the Gift Shop one day stalling before we had to go to a meal reservation and before I knew it, I had to yank my husband away from one of the CM's...they were talking baseball and the time had gotten away from us.
