My history teacher recently challenged us to take this paragraph:

Laffes, your Mother asked you to make some forced eggs. Use ye wee Pipkin and make sure that ye Beggar's Velvet are taken care of before you go to ye Dance. Pick some Sallats for your Pottage.

and translate it from that into modern english. That's the language that the colonial era settlers and english speaking peoples would have used. So. Who thinks they can do it and do it correctly?
