What is a good year? I really like some people but am a little shy to talk too them for too long:confused3

Other people have a boyfriend/girlfriend but just don't talk.

My opinion is if you go out with someone now their is no way you can make it too highschool with the same person

P.S.- I just turned 13

A good year to get a GF/BF is when you feel comfortable and mature enough to have a BF/GF. IMO. :)

So maybe just try to talk to the people and try to become friends with them first. And learn more about them.:goodvibes

::yes::
And don't "go out" with a person if you're not going to go out.

My opinion?

Freshman year of high school. Thats when the real stuff kicks in. Middle school is nothing.

I am the same, but thats if i'm really on to somebody. My friends help me out and make me more comfortable, It takes a lot of 'balls' for me to do it, but you got to do it anyways and I step up and walk over.

Whats the worst they could do? Ya know? They are just like you and may think the same as you too.

I'd say 14 or older. I know people who have been in lasting relationships younger than that, but not many. My one friend started seeing someone when she was 13 and they have be going out for over a year. I think anything younger than 13ish is more about that fact the you can say you have boyfriend. Thats JMO. Sorry if I offend anyone. If you are ready to have a boyfriend, then you are ready but don't go out with some just so you can say your going out or because you think it makes you mature.

Hope that helps.

I'm 14, and honestly, I dont think i'm ready. Yes, i want a boyfriend, but when I really think about it..i dont think I'm the type of person that can handle it. A lot of girls have boyfriends that are my age, and usually it's just a little fling, that lasts for maybe a month.
I want the perfect guy for me, and it does hurt to wait sometimes, but I know that it'll hurt a lot more to be dumped, or have a bad boyfriend.

Well I got my first "boyfriend" in 8th grade when I was 13. It was a really pointless relationship. When you're that young you can't really do anything unless you want your parents to drive you around. All you do is hang out at school and have awkward hugs. Make sure you're ready to have a relationship.

Im about 1/3 of a year younger then you maybe more but the point is shes right : Dont go out with someone if your not going to GO OUT.

I have ALMOST had a bf but it was stupid i even said to my friends "I dont have a bf thats so dumb because im only 12" i mean its just pointless, but honestly if thats how you feel and you wanna go for it then do it

i guess my main point is : when your young you cant do much i would say wait another year but try and just HANG OUT with guys and then after a year or so slowly move into the whole "Hey, you wanna go to the movies sometime? great then its a date"

I'm 13. My grade doesn't have that many kids but some of them are "going out". They don't get it though. I think we're not old enough. They say it for attention and stop after a week.

I personally dont give a care. I have my school to focus on and i hate and i said HATE pre-algebra. I have a D!!! im usually with that group of kids who get straight A's and perfect citizenship. Anyway about the BF/GF thing i try to focus on my schoolwork. School is tough.

.:World Geography stinks!!:.

really, whenever you feel ready for a boyfriend is when you're ready for one.

I had my first 'boyfriend' when i was about 12, and I've had about 9-10 boyfriends since then.

i had a lot of like, 'boyfriends' (i put that in quotes because, it wasn' much like a real relationship, it was just two young kids who had crushes on each other) but i only had my first REAL (or what I would consider real) relationship when i was about...16.
I had a bunch of boyfriends, but only about 2 real relationships.
I'm 18 now, and only now do I actually LOVE my boyfriend.

So it's kind of a complicated question...but whenever you feel like you are ready for a boyfriend, go for it! So what if it's not 'true love', it's fun and exciting to have a boyfriend when you're young!

well I'm 12 and alot of people are "going out", but they don't like "go out", they see eachother at school and at dances and I'm guessing that's it. so when you feel ready to date and whatnot, go for it! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I think people my age just see each other at school/dances. Every Saturday a bunch of people my age go to the movies though.

Even though I'm only 13, I'd like to have a guy friend who LIKES to just hang out without having to worry about the BF/GF thing, but that's like impossible. =/ All of my guy friends never hang out with me besides for at school.

Same here, except girls.

When I was 13 my relationships were more just 'going out' I would say. We hung out at lunch and at school, but weren't a serious BF/GF. I got my first one in 6th grade but it differs for everyone I guess.

I think it just differs for everyone. I know I went out on little dates when I was younger, but never really considered any of those guys a real BF. Now that I am 17 and I have my 1st real BF I am seeing what it is truely like.
