Have you heard any good ones about any of the theme parks?

Although this ones not about a park:
Walt's body being frozen(which i read isnt true).

I also read there was a rumor of a basketball court in the Matterhorn mountain in Disneyland.

Has anyone else heard of any?

I forgot where I found this. But it was interesting I think.

You Don't Know Disney: 10 Things That May Surprise You.

1. He is not frozen. His body was cremated, and his ashes are interred at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California, near his studio.

2. Mickey Mouse's original name allegedly was Mortimer but Disney's wife Lillian objected because she thought it too "sissified."

3. Some of the names originally considered for the dwarfs in Snow White were: Deafy, Dirty, Awful, Blabby, Burpy, Gabby, Puffy, Stuffy, Nifty, Tubby, Biggo Ego, Flabby, Jaunty, Baldy, Lazy, Dizzy, Cranky and Chesty.

4. Walt Disney suffered a nervous breakdown in 1931 and descended into depression after the war, concentrating his attention on model trains rather than on motion pictures.

5. Fantasia was the result of a chance meeting between Walt Disney and symphony conductor Leopold Stokowski at Chasen's restaurant.

6. During World War II the Disney studio became a war factory with well over 90% of its production in the service of government training, education and propaganda films.

7. The studio stopped production for six months on Pinocchio because Walt felt the title character wasn't likable enough. During this time he devised the idea of introducing Jiminy Cricket as Pinocchio's conscience.

8. Walt Disney received more Academy Awards than any other individual--32.

9. Disney modeled Mickey Mouse on Charlie Chaplin and that Chaplin later assisted the Disneys by loaning them his financial books so they could determine what kind of proceeds they should be getting from their distributor on Snow White.

10. MGM head Louis B. Mayer once rejected the opportunity to distribute Mickey Mouse cartoons shortly after Walt had invented the character because Mayer said that pregnant women would be frightened by a giant mouse on screen.

Those are cool.

I am not sure if this is true or not but i heard that a long time ago a cast member was crushed in between the moving walls on CoP.

I read on another site a few years ago that POTC is haunted by an old CM named George. Every morning when the ride is opened if the CMs don't sy "Goodmorning George" then the ride breaks down or weird stuff happens. Don't know if It's true but It's cool

oh I read that too!

The basketball court is true, and there was a CM who was crushed between the movign parts of CoP.

I have heard of Walt Disney being frozen thing....and that he can come back if they wanted to. But I did a report on him. He died and they cremated him...

Walt Disney is cryogenically frozen. False
Ever since Walt Disney passed away there have been rumors surrounding his death. The most persistent rumor is Walt Disney is cryogenically frozen, and his body is in a hidden chamber beneath Pirates of The Caribbean at Disneyland. The privacy Disney maintained concerning his personal life extended to his death. Combined with his reputation as a technological innovator have allowed this legend to continue to be believed even today. Walt Disney, was cremated on December 17, 1966, two days after his death.

One of the last phrases Walt Disney wrote before his death was Kurt Russell True

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2007, Kurt Russell confirmed this Disney Urban Legend. Apparently, the last two words that Walt Disney wrote were "Kurt" and "Russell". "It's true." said actor Kurt Russell, "I don't know what to make of it. I was taken into his office one time after he died and I was shown that." At the time of Disney's death Kurt Ruseell was a child actor for the Disney company.

Two Monorails Once Collided Into Each Other False
This urban legend sprung up with guest's trying to figure out why they are not allow to ride in the back of the Monorail. As legend has it early in the WDW property's operation, the Wabco (Westinghouse Air Brake) system failed in one of the Monorail trains, and it crashed into another. That is why to this day no one is allowed to ride in the rearmost area of the Monorail.

A Cast Member was thrown into the Magic Kingdom lagoon and was electrocuted. False
This is a common myth surrounding Grad Nite at Walt Disney World®. The story goes that some high school students threw Mickey Mouse into the lagoon at the Magic Kingdom, and the cast member died from electrocution from the air-conditioning unit inside the costume. There are 2 myths in this legend. First, there is no proof that Mickey was ever thrown into the lagoon. Second, the cast member would not have been electrocuted, as the character costumes do not contain air-conditioning units.

I bolded the rumor/legend.

lolllll
these are so much fun to read.
ive been downstairs at pirates. theres no walt, i promise. even though we all joke about opening up a broom closet and finding "grandpa walt" in the back corner with the mop...
someone had started a rumor about there "being a hole in spaceship earth". well yes, there was. someone had an "uh-oh".
and i dont know about the whole "good morning george" thing. but i know that the cms at haunted mansion like to say good morning to master gracey, though.
and magic kingdom is the only park that has an underground series of tunnels. at epcot, we only have one tunnel that starts by energy and ends on the other side. :D
