I know there have been a bajillion and one threads on hair, but I just need to vent somewhere.
(Anyone else notice I've been doing that alot lately? )

Honestly,I think there is waaaaay too much emphasis on hair these days.
It's kind of like if your hair isn't PERFECT,you're automatically an outcast.
I mean,what's the big deal?
If you really think about it,it's just dead junk growing off the top of your head.

OTOH,I miss having hair.
Sometimes,I get these urges to go curl or straighten my hair.
But guess what?
I can't because I have NO hair!
It kind of sucks.

So,yeah,vent over.
I'm sure I'll add more later.

Thats how it is at my school, and I love it. Why would I want a friend with split ends. ewwww

Good luck though!

I completely agree! Hair is just another excuse to critize someone. I always said I wish EVERYONE was bald. It would make the whole getting ready for the day process much faster. Plus, if you really look at it, hair defines a girls social status. All of my friends and I basically have the same hair when we go out. (At school it doesn't matter, its an all girls school, we honestly don't care) Once we're in public its like if you want to be considered pretty at all you have to have PERFECT hair. Ugh, It really annoys me.

Sorry about that, um, hair doesn't make a person- a person makes meat-loaf. There, that was sentamentle right?

you're seriously pushing your luck on this thread. maybe you should just stop posting. Its one thing to say something as mean as your original post to a 14 year old CANCER patient, but stop beating a dead dog. We know you're an insinsitive blankity blank blank. just get off the thread before you get yourself in trouble.

When I was younger I used to have really long hair and in 6th grade I cut 17 inches off and gave it to locks of love. I cut a lot off because when I cut it the minimum was 15 inches and now they changed it to 10. But I like the fact that I gave a little girl somewhere hair.

I've been wanting to dye my hair red for a while and next Saturday I'm getting highlights but I don't want highlights I want my hair I want it red. But my mom was like "you'll see if you want your hair red after it's highlighted" but I had my hair highlighed red in 8th grade and I couldn't even tell that they were there. So we'll see how it goes.

Half the time I go to school with my hair in a messy bun because I didn't feel like blowdrying the night before so I have bed hair.

Gosh, what'd I do? I said hair dosn't make the person? Why does everything I say get me branded for life around here? Maybe not a lot of us have such profound things to say, but I wasn't saying anything bad to her.

do you have dark hair? if so, you'll need to bleach it before you go red if you want it to show up. it'll just turn blackish if you don't.

Are you serious?
Not trying to be rude.
But come on.
That's what I have a problem with.

What's so bad about split ends?
It's only hair!

I have medium brown hair. I don't want it bright red, I want it an auburn-ish, brown red. So it's not a big difference.

I'm getting it done at a salon anyway. So they'll know what their doing. I would never trust myself dying my own hair.

I love my hair. It's at a length that I'm comfortable with. Sometimes, I care to do it, most of the time, I don't. I don't judge people by their hair. It's just hair.

I honestly hope you are joking. My school doesn't really have the hair problem. I have okay hair. Its not bad, but when it is humid it frizzes really bad and I hate it. I think people focus on clothes and who your friends are more but thats everywhere. I'm not like that. I know someone who had cancer and she lost her hair and she got wigs. I couldn't even tell she was wearing one. If that makes you more comfortable I say go for it. If not, your hair will grow back eventuallyit's just a matter of time.

I hate my hair
We all know in the inside everyone has a different personality
So whats the big deal about hair?
It really is just a pile of waste...
But in Sonyas defence you really dont know what you have until its gone completely :(

Im sorry your hair was lost due to chemo
But we all know your pretty on the inside and shouldnt that be all that matters?
