We are leaving in less than 2 weeks and I just found out that one of the children in our party will not eat fried chicken or ribs, but will eat nuggets hot dogs etc.
Can we order that for him at the dinner or can I call ahead and request something different that the chicken or ribs?

I think they will bring you something from the trail's end next door. I know they have macaroni and cheese, but I don't know what else. You would have to just ask the server if there is an alternate child's meal available.

When we were there in April, we were only offered Spagetti and Meatballs for my DS. There wasn't anything else available, I asked.

When we took our grandson, the only kids option was mac and cheese, same for the Luau for him too.

hmmm, I do not even know if he likes mac and cheese, I will have to ask his mom. We may have to bring a hot dog or something from the MK before we head over to Ft Wilderness.

I agree, grandson didn't eat the mac and cheese and at both the HDDR and Luau it was alot of money for him to go and not eat anything they offered. He didn't even eat the strawberry shortcake at HDDR.

Parenting can be such a hard concept.

I am not the parent, the boys are my brothers step grandchilren and I never thought to ask about what they liked, they are 5 and 7 and the 5 year old is the one that does not like chicken or ribs, he does not like steak either. :confused3
My kids are 20 and 25 so its been a long time since I've had young ones to take into consideration when making dining reservations in WDW.

My husband does not eat chicken nor ribs so I had called 24 hours prior to our reservation to have his meal changed to either vegetarian or a fish meal. THey had no problems and they gave him a piece of talipia - he thought that was the best meal of our trip. I enjoy chickn and ribs and we LOVED the show. We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary at the Spirit of ALoha last May and had great time! Would do it again. However , this coming anniversary - out 30th will be celebrated at HDD - and again I have asked for a vegetarian meal or fish dinner and the CM said no prob but we will see come March. I am sure if you call in advance they will change their menu to whatever you want.
