Hello,

newbie here with a question: we have planned a last-minute Oct. 12 trip to WDW with our 3 year old. We are doing three days of theme parks and hadn't planned on Epcot, but the only character dining available was at Epcot Norway for dinner.

Anybody have feedback on the dinner (the princesses and activities, not the meal, she is not a picky eater), and what would you suggest a 3-year-old enjoy at Epcot? Or we could just get a parkhopper and go to AK for the day before going to Epcot for dinner?

tia,

Sophie

Hi
Welcome to the Dis!! We went to PSB for lunch this year and had a lot of fun with the princesses. My DGD is 4 1/2 and really loved seeing all of them. The food wasn't that great though. Epcot has a lot for kids to see and do. My DGD loves the Living Seas and coloring in masks at the kidcot stations. Also, there is a cute ride in clam mobiles in the Living Seas. My DGD really liked the imagination ride with Figment. She liked the ride in Mexico and Norway, and also loved Soarin. She rode that last year at age 3 1/2. Have a great time!:)

We went to the Noway Princess dinner in June with dd and we really enjoyed it. We had fun dressing our dd in a princess outfit too! After calling your name you enter the restarant and have your picture taken with Belle. Then you are seated at a table. Once at the table you order off a the menu. While you wait for your food to come you can help yourself to the Norweign food buffet. At some point during your meal the princess make their rounds to your table and stay at your table for a couple of minutes. Enough time for pictures and a short chat with each princess individually. We enjoyed the food and the dinner.

As far as what to do at Epcot, the Living Seas is nice for that age, but it does close earlier than the worlds do. I would get a park hopper pass come for Living Seas only and then dinner or just the dinner.

I would also call back everyday from now until you go and see if they have availability at Cinderella's Royal Table. They often have last minute openings! If I had to chose I would do CRT first!

I hope you have fun!

Did you try to get a reservation for 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella? It's at the Grand Floridian, so you wouldn't need a park ticket in order to eat there.

We went to Norway last year and loved it! There were so many princesses. We saw Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine, and Aeriel. The kid's meal still had "normal" food for the kids, and the adult meal had lots of choices. The girls wore their favorite princess costume and felt so special being dressed up meeting their favorite princess. I recommend this one over the Cinderella meal at Grand Floridian. It somehow seemed a little more special.

these replies have been really helpful i have already booked CRT for our last full day of our trip in december, but i have also booked PSB for lunch in the middle of the week. I can't wait to see my daughters face as she seems to be in love with aurora and she is suppose to be there

I am glad to see this post. When we were booking ADRs, we had to choose between 1900 Park Faire or Storybook at Norway. I let DD choose (she has never been to either) and she chose Norway because she will get to see more princesses and there were lots of good photo ops with Cinderella last time we went so I'm sure she'll get to see her. Plus, I bought her a new Aurora costume for the BBB at 8:00 a.m. with breakfast at 10:00 so she really wants a pic with Aurora.

We just returned from WDW and my DD is 3 1/2. We did the dinner in Norway and she loved it, but also in Epcot, her favorite thing seemed to be coloring the masks at all the Kidcot funstops in each country. It was great too, because DH or I would watch her happily coloring while the other went looking around in each pavillion.

She also loved looking at the fish in the Seas pavillion, and the Mexico and even the Norway ride, which I was afraid might scare her, but she loved it and insisted on doing it again! To be honest, she had very little interest in anything in AK and we were out of there before noon. At one point, there were some gorillas to see, but all she wanted to do was look at the fish:confused3 . So it was back to Epcot for us.

Have a wonderful time whatever you do!

We went to the Norway Princess lunch in May. My daughter loves Ariel, so that's why we went.

BUT! Ariel wasn't there!
So, don't count on her being there. The CM I talked to on the phone told me they couldn't guarantee which princesses would be there, but they said Ariel is usually there.

It was lots of fun anyway. We LOVED the food! Try the brown cheese for sure! MMMMMM

We had Belle, Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, and Alice. Jasmine and Alice got into an argument over which one of them was the favorite. My girls still talk about that quite a bit!

We had so much fun in EPCOT this year. We usually rush through, but this year we took our time. There are tons of characters in the World Showcase. The kids really loved that.

We have just finished our princess dining tour, lol. CRT was wonderful, we have been to it many times and always enjoy it. The princesses were Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Snow White, Jasmine and Belle. 1900 Park Fare dinner was moved to the Grand Floridean Cafe and was horrible:mad: the night we went, walk ins that were staying at the GF were let right in while the average wait for people with priority seating was 1.5-2 hours, service was terrible, only the mice & Cinderella/Prince Charming were attending and they were the snap your picture so we can go type, food was cold and bland, and the kids hated it. This was our first time at the one in Norway and my daughter loved it more then CRT. Even her brothers said they want to make sure to go there from now on. The princesses last night were Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty. I think your daughter will love it:love:
