:confused3 I need help. I am trying to have a diver carry a sign to my dh for anniversary during our dinner in Fed.. I called Coral Reef over a week ago and still haven't heard back. Any ideas how I can do this? I already have the dinner reservation but the cm told I had to calll CR directly to order the diver. Has anyone done this before? thanks in advance for your help::flower3:

You have to ask for Debbi and speak to her. Try calling again. I had the diver last week and she arranged a cake also.

Here are som pics.. although the diver one did not come out great:

Yes, you have to call Debbi at Coral Reef. You can leave her voicemail AND give her your email address, and instead of playing phone tag, by email-we got our diver arranged very quickly!!!

wow I did not know you could do this- we are going there for dd's birthday in Oct. What is Debbi's phone number? Just the main number of the restaurant? How far in advance do you have to call?

OMG! that is the coolest that you can get them to have messages. My daughter would freak out! I might had to add this to my list of restaurants for our jan trip.

How's the food at Coral Reef?

LisaNJ25: I'm so jealous you got your sign from the diver. We had a diver for my inlaw's 50th anniversary and they didn't bring them the sign. We took plenty of pictures but it would have been nice for them to have the sign as well. Sorry I'm not tech-savy enough to post pictures.

To OP: Keep trying and leaving messages at the restaurant. Someone will call you back. I dealt with Alicia and she was great!

She has a direct number...but I am sure you can call the main number for the restaurant and get her voice mail if you ask for her...we have the diver coming down with a message and personaizedmenus for the family! The diver swims down (and they seat you close to the aquarium wall) and he/she come down with the sign and presses it against the window and throws fish food upin the water around him and ALL the fish come swimming up...that is magical! Very cool!

I would book it soon! ASAP...once the divers have X numer of dives per time period, that is it!:hourglass

i just sent you a PM

What a fantastic idea! My DH and I will be going there 9/28 for the first time and it's our 7 year Anniversary. Can some one please send me Debbie's number?

I actually just called 407-wdw dine, then told them what I was looking for (this was before I got eeoresnr's pm), and they gave me the main WDW switchboard number of 407-824-2222. I asked the operator to connect me to coral reef, and I followed the prompts for the management team. I left a message for debbie with my phone and email, and two days later got an email from someone on her team.

I don't know if it's going to happen, as I am waiting to hear about availability for my date, but I will let you all know!

Love this cake! What size did you order, I couldn't tell from the picture--6 or 8 inch? DH's bday is there next month, and this would be a really cute cake!

How is the food? Awful. Listen to the dispodcast from 9/4/07 Best of, they did a repeat of the restaurant review. Sad little crab cake: 1 crab cake=$27.99 with unpalatable mashed potatoes.

hey, I love the podcast, but that is just one person's opinion. I happen to love the coral reef! I'm not big on seafood, but the vegetarian dish there is amazing- and for dd's reaction to the sea theme, it's worth it to me for her birthday!

Let me ask you- just curious- have you ever eaten at the coral reef? if not, how do you know the food is awful? I'm not trying to be nasty, just asking- because Kevin's review is his opinion from his experience on one visit. I've been there multiple times, and personally I like the place. And how often can you get a diver to swim through a huge aquarium with a sign for one of your loved ones?
