Anyone else getting obscene/pornographic mail??

For about the last week or so I have been getting between 5 and 10 pieces of trash per day. Most of it now is going right to my junk folder but I am not too thrilled about this to say the least.... I use two e-mails interchangeably for reward programs and this e-mail I use for QR, SR, CR, My Points, etc. so I have no way of knowing where this is coming from. Anyone else having this problem?

I get a bazillion of them, I have 5 email accounts, I use one of them for SR, on for CR/QR and I get crap like that in all of them. The only account I have never gotten any junk mail in is GMail, and I had used that address at CD, although I never did anything at that site. When a spammer decides to send out his great stuff, he has a bot do it,they pick an email supplier, like yahoo.com and then just start sending out to any combination of names. So maybe you have lssmith@yahoo.com, the bot will send to asmith, absmith, etc till it uses every possible combination of letters before smith. Or it will use lsmithe, lsmithd, etc. If you have ever used your email at any web site, a crawler can intercept it, too. Sadly, there is almost no way of getting around spam. I am amazed that we NEVER get any at work. My husband works for a German company, they can not stop the spam on thier servers and he gets at least 200 a day!

Just be glad most go to your junk folder and report the ones that don't. Since yahoo instituted the auto filers, I get very few in my inbox there, but plenty in the junk. If you are using outlook mail, you can also block many of them.

Someone has sold every one of my email addresses (including the ones that I only use with the advertisers that I work with). Either that, or some of my advertisers have had viruses on their computers that have given the addressess back to the virus makers.

It makes me so angry that people get a hold of the addresses and then send that nasty stuff to them. I can understand the buying and selling of information for real sales. But when porn and obscenity is involved, it really seems to be that the government should be doing more to crack down on it.

We never get any spam at work because our IT guy has installed a spam filter on our server (I'm not in IT, so I can't explain it). That is the only email address I NEVER get spam on. The email that I use for QR & SR gets between 250-350 spam message PER DAY.

I get it too on all my emails.

I get some pretty gross ones on my SR/QR/Mypoints emails.

On my personal and ebay email I get a few, mostly ones that want to clean my colon, enlarge my p----, sell me hoodia or viagra, anf go back to school.

I love the fact that gmail send it into a spam folder. I don't even look at it most of the time, I just delete it.

This is kind of funny in a weird, twisted way....

A few weeks ago, I started having my Outlook automatically forwards a lot of my email to my mom. Specifically, email that comes to two different email addresses that are supposed to be for our business. Of course, the email forward program just forwards EVERYTHING. I woke up one morning to an email from my mom wondering why I was forwarding porn to her!!
