Your Favorite WDW Souvenirs for Infants

When we go to WDW in a few weeks, I'll be 6 months pregnant with a baby boy and I would like to get a few special souvenirs for him. So, I was wondering what are some of your favorite souvenirs that you've bought for babies at WDW? Clothes, toys, books, keepsakes, that sort of stuff. Along the same lines, what are the best WDW stores to buy baby stuff? A few weeks back I posted a similar question on the Theme Park board, but I thought you guys might have more tips so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask! Thank you in advance :goodvibes

We bought each of our DDs their first Disney babies there. We bought them on trips prior to each being born. For our oldest we bought her Baby Pluto and for our youngest we bought her Thumper (or Stich, I can't remember one it was). We also looked at clothes but decided against it.

I've done this for each of my kiddos. In the christmas shop in downtown disney they have these mickey head glass ornaments (the bigger ones not the ones that come 4 to a box) and they will personalize them. I ordered each with their name and 1st christmas and the year. (this works if you know what you are having, I always did w/my kiddos or you can just put "Baby's 1st.). I still get one every year for them (my oldest will be 7 next week). Different colors and the past couple years they had "sports" themed ones w/mickey ears.

Tip - if you intend to do this and want to take it home w/you go earlier in your trip. The wait for personalization can be several days and if you wait til the end you'll have to pay to have it shipped home.

Also baby's first Mickey ears work nicely too.

Our youngest was 3 months old when we went last year. In the shop in Epcot that's right in the middle of the main entrance to the World Showcase (Gateway to the World or something like that), I found the perfect souvenier for her. It was a stuffed baby rattle with a block and Minnie Mouse on top. It was all plush and makes a soft rattling sound when it's shaken. The bottom had a ring for dd to grasp it to put it in her mouth :goodvibes . She loved that toy for months afterwards. It was pink and white and they had a blue and white one with Mickey Mouse for baby boys. That was the only place I saw that particular toy in all of WDW, but they probably sold it in more than one place.

I also like that the stuffed animals are rated for all ages instead of 3 and up. There are no plastic eyes to rip off or anything.

I bought the same little rattle for my niece, and I still see her using it-she's 8months old now. I also got her a minnie mouse my first christmas magnet and put her pic in it. I like to buy a christmas ornament for each trip, and I'm sure they have a ton of first christmas ones, if you celebrate christmas. I bet you'll see lots of stuff!

I knew I was having a girl, so I got a minnie plush rattle and a pink disney baby snowglobe

If I can find mine I will take a picture. But we picked up these sets of plastic squeeze dolls. The first set the baby got was the seven dwarfs. It was $9.99 I believe. She plays with them in the bath, when she is teething or just carries them around. We also picked up the set of princesses.

I was pregnant with DS on our last trip and also wanted to find something special for him (he is our "little souviner" from a previous Disney trip). We found, at the DTD toy store, Mickey's brown teddy bear and the Golden Story book about Mickey and his brown teddy bear. My husband reads to our children every night and we liked the fact that our son has his own "special" Disney story and the stuffed bear to go along with it.

We will buy him a 1st Christmas ornament when we go back in a few days. We collect Christmas ornaments and wanted to wait and buy him one with the date of his 1st Disney trip.

Hope this helps:)

I purchased each of my grandchildren their Christmas Stocking with their name personalized on it (DTD- Christmas Shop). I also got each of them a personalized Disney name tag to wear.

Someone else posted that they got their babies silhouette done. I believe it was done in Main Street.
