on the cruise..Raven's first game is on 9/10 and we will be on the cruise.. I know my husband will want to watch.. any place we can go and see it?

We were on the 7 day Magic last year during the NFL opening weekend. Diversions the sports bar had multiple games going on at once, and there were select games on the Dumbotron throughout the day. I remember watching the Giants/Colts Sunday Night game in a lounge chair with some Pinnochio's Pizza and a soda close by. It was a neat experience.

I assume it would be the same for NBA basketball?

I'm not sure they would cover every game. I'm not sure they cover EVERY football game. I suspect they cover the major ones.
We cruised New Year's day and they had all the bowl games.

Do they usually show the Sunday night games in Diversionsw, it is on NBC? Also what about the baseball playoffs that are on FOX? Will the games on ESPN/ABC also be shown in the cabins? We will be on the Magic, the first wek of BB playoffs and for the Giants/Eagles Sunday night game. My father will have a fit if he can't watch the Giants.

There really is no way to tell. I suspect one sports playoffs would be considered more of a priority than another sports regular season game IF there were a conflict. If there is no conflict, they I suspect you can watch both somewhere.

As someone who works in TV, and has experienced the east coast bias by the networks on a regular basis, I will say that the Giants/Eagles game would stand a better chance than a Raiders/49ers game.

Thanks, tvguy, at least I can tell Dad we have a chance becuase then we will be at WDW the next Sunday for Giants/Jets and there is no way he will go to ESPN which means he will not be a happy camper. When we booked last year we were not thinking football:eek:

I sure hope the Raven's game will be on somewhere, but if not.. TIVO to the rescue...

We're not huge NFL fans but we are college football fans. Both of our past 2 cruises were during 2 big University of Georgia games. We watched both in Diversions. They also had several other games playing on the other TVs. It was actually pretty fun with drinks and food all right there.

Oh my gosh. You remind me of my husband. He is always complaining about the east coast bias and how all they talk about on TV are all the east coast teams. Whether they're doing bad or good, they get mentioned. He's only recently started to feel like the Padres and Chargers are getting the love they deserve, and even now, it's slim at best :)

I can't tell you how many times in my 30 years in TV I've been on duty and the network drops out of.....or skips the beginning of..... the game that west coast viewers care about, to carry the east coast game. And people call ME to complain.
And I've worked at NBC, ABC and CBS stations.....same issue with all three networks. All they have to do is but the west coast game on one satellite, and the east coast game on another, let the local station pick which game they wanted, and BOTH coasts were be happy. I mean, they have full coverage in place for both games.

We Dey!!! We will be on the Dec. 1st Western when Our Steelers take on the Bengals on Sunday Night Football (NBC). Does anyone know if they will broadcast this game even though it is on NBC?

:thumbsup2

I'm thinking they will since its a nationally televised game. We will be sailing the Magic when our Steelers take on the Ravens on MNF.

GO STEELERS!
