Best deal for our CS DDP credits??

Please give me your recommendations on the best use of our CS credits.

Any park or other location. We'll be all over and I am wanting to get the best bang for our buck!

4 adults and 1 child.

MK - we enjoy Pecos Bill - fixin's bar is very yummy
DTD - Cooke's of Dublin, Wolfgang Puck Express
Epcot - Sunshine Seasons, Yorkshire Fish & Chips (not necessarily the best value, but a personal favorite)
POFQ food court - DH got the potroast, I got the red beans and rice, both were TS sized

Tusker House used to be my favorite CS in WDW, but it is currently being converted into a TS location.

Pizza Planet at the Studios is ok - DD and I split the Pizza meal deal (personal size pizza and a salad).

MK - Main Street Bakery - We got a sandwhich, drink and dessert (enough food for 4 and we're only 2 people!)


MGM- Toy Story Pizza Plan, we had the pizza/salad/drink/dessert meal deal

Epcot - The electric umbrella had excellent burgers and fries

We love Tangeriene Cafe in Morroco. One Shwarma platter can easily feed two people.

Cosmic Rays: Ribs and chicken dinner! Huge -- more food than you can imagine!

Well, I don't know that it's a "best deal", but the one CS restaurant that makes everyone's list in our house is Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom. Great barbecue, and you sit at covered tables--nice and shady, and shade is at a premium at AK. The kids like to sit far enough down to hear the screams from Expedition Everest!

Our past several visits, we've been on the premium dining plan, courtesy of MIL--we could eat anything, anywhere. And Flame STILL tops everyone's list!

MGM- Top Story Pizza Planet- Junk yard meal Deal
Magic Kingdom- Peco's Bills- Double bacon cheesburger plus the topings bar
EPCOT- San Angle Cantina-Chicken Tocos
Animal Kingdom- Flame Tree BBQ- Ribs

Trying all of these in 3 weeks. Sept 21-30 will be at POP

I definitely agree!

As far as WGP Express, we used it once without the DDP (3 adults and 1 child...no desserts) and it was over $60! Definitely worth it.

We had Pecos Bill's a few days ago and the BBQ was very bad. It made all three of us feel bad if you know what I mean. I don't know about the other food they have though.

Really, you'll get the "best bang for your buck" by choosing places where everyone in your party will like the food choices

EP: The only place I've eaten at is the Electric Umbrella, hoping to try more of the foods from around World Showcase this year

AK: used to be tusker house, I guess we'll try flame tree this year

MGM: I'm in the minority, I didn't like Pizza Planet, pizza was cold, salad was wilted, just wasn't our cup of tea....I guess the abc comissary, but we'll usually go to the hotel to eat lunch sometimes too.

See the menus here http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm but generally the best bang for your buck is Pepper Market at Coronado Springs. You can get an $18.99 ribeye steak, a soda, and a non-fancy dessert, for one counter service credit.

Although, really, CPer'sMom is absolutely correct - the BEST bang for your buck is a location where everyone in your party will find something to eat.

A big thumbs up from us to the Columbia Harbor House in MK. You can get the chicken and fish combo for a cs (2 chicken strips and 2 fish pieces with plenty of fries), more than enough for one.

Yes, I checked out the menus but I still like to go on recommendations too. When I see the same place listed over and over again as great then we'll give it a try.

It will be our first stay at the Coronado, and Pepper Market certainly looks like it has some great deals for the CS credits.

We stayed at Coronado and had breakfast at the pepper market twice! We highly reccomend it~

We used a CS credit for Starring Rolls in MGM and I would highly recommend it. An adult gets a large sandwich, a drink, a piece of fruit (apple/banana) and one of their wonderful bakery deserts. A child gets a Smuckers uncrustables, drink, fruit and applesauce. It was nice for something different.

I will answer by not giving restaurant choices, but rather ordering strategies no matter where you eat. We just returned from a 6 day trip. By day two I figured out that ordering an entree/combo (pizza, burger fries, pasta dish)bottled beverage, and dessert item (like a snack, cake, ice cream, etc.) allowed us to stretch snack credits so we could buy water, etc. with no guilt.

Breakfast: for 2 adults and a child we ordered two breakfast combo platters from CBR food court. We could get 2 drinks at breakfast so we each got a water then added a fruit juice and chocolate milk. We took the water to the parks and split the other drinks, even put the milk in ther frig for the little one to have later.

Lunch we'd order the entree/combo and get a bottled drink, like apple juice and drink water using a courtesy cup. We really wanted to stay hydrated, so having some juice and unlimited water worked for us. For dessert grab something like a Mickey Bar, yougurt, bakery item or whole fruit. All but the Mickey bar can be saved for later saving a snack credit. We even grabbed yogurt which made for a nice light late snack or quick morning meal.

As we were heading to ME we used our final 2 CS credits on the following:
PB&J, apples with caramel, water; 2 pcs fruit, Dasani, OJ; we did not eat a CS breakfast that day and had an early lunch, so a couple of hours later we really were not too hungry. The cashier actually helped us piece together meals that were allowable on the plan. We were on free dining, my family's dining needs were met daily, so wouldn't have mattered if we had left a couple of credits, we did not go hungry.
