Just back - here's where we ate on DPP

If anyone has any questions about any of these, feel free to ask! As most people agree, DPP is way too much food, even with teenagers! We did manage to use all of our credits though!

We are doing the FDP at MM soon, and would love to hear your review. We are contemplating Cape May or Coral Reef. We have CR scheduled twice for dinner during our trip, but may switch to CM for variety. Darn that Teppanyaki rehab!

I have two teenage boys and I'm curious to your comment about the amount of food! also, I'd love to hear about Le Cellier & Coral Reef.

I think our service was the main drawback here. We had a table way off to the side. Our server took our drink, appetizer, and dinner orders, and brought the drinks and appetizers in a timely manner.

We waited and waited for our meals as the restaurant emptied. We saw our server cleaning the floor nearby where some other diners had already left, so we asked him about our dinner which was "coming soon."

In a few minutes dinner arrived. My Penne Vodka was lukewarm, as was DS15's chicken parm. The other two meals (4-cheese flatbread and orrechiatte pasta with chicken) were hot. I sent my penne back, which they must have microwaved for like 30 seconds because it came back the same temperature.

By this time, we did not even have time to order dessert because it was getting so late and we wanted to make sure we had time to get our reserved Fantasmic seats. Our ADR's were for 5:50 and we didn't get out of the restaurant until almost 7:30.

Again, it was a service issue - if the food had been hot and brought out when it should have been, everything would have been fine.

We always eat here the first night! Just the excitement of returning to the BoardWalk, I guess. We got two orders of the dingers which are the boneless wings - one mild, one hot. We took half of them back to the room to keep in the fridge and munch on the rest of the week. We also got nachos (everyone knows how big they are!). DS15 loved his dinger sandwich also. Luckily ESPN's desserts are also portable - two chocolate cakes and two apple pies when right back to our fridge for breakfast the next day.

I didn't really notice any decline in quality. I think because we always eat here first (before we hit places like Le Cellier) the food seems just fine for bar food.

Frann - if you and your group love shellfish like steamed clams and mussels, you will love this place. DH, DS15 and me all fall into this category and probably knocked down about 100 or so all by ourselves. Their clam chowder is also wonderful - I had two bowls even though it was 98 degrees outside. DH also had some fish, ribs, and potatoes. DS12 is not a fish eater and ate off of the kid's buffet.

DH, DS15 and DS12 all raved about the bonbons for dessert, especially the Oreo ones. We all swore we would never eat again as we left - and it was only Monday.

Our ADR's were at 6:00 and the place was jammed! Our waitress took our drink, appetizer, dinner, and dessert orders all at once, which left me a little concerned but it turned out I had nothing to worry about.

DS12 really had a great time here. DH told him to order the Lobster Soup, thinking he would be the one to get to eat it, but DS12 loved it! He did let us try a taste and it was awesome!

DH and DS12 both had the strip steak and finished it all. I had the ahi tuna (which must be new because I didn't see it on the AllEars menu), and DS15 had the shrimp pasta which he liked.

The chocolate wave is also fabulous, as everyone says.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the Coral Reef. We need to change ressie do to Teppan Edo still being closed and we wanted to try the Coral Reef. I think we will now.

Hubby and I are planning on ESPN for the night we head to MVMCP. We are really looking forward to it even though we know it doesn't get the best reviews. But we are big sports fans and think this well be fun. And it seems to be getting decent reviews from sports bar fans, so that's a plus.
