Best way to get a good deal on PP?

Hey there! We're from Canada and hoping to go (for the 3rd time) in early Dec. We've stayed at good neighbour hotels in the past, and probably will again, but... We've been debating whether we can swing one of the Disney properties!:cool1: We aren't AP holders, but we do have CAA (AAA). Getaway Today seems to have good prices, but is there somewhere else I should look to price it out?

Thanks for any advice!:)

Hi,
If your a AP then they have fantastic prices right now. Also if you are a Disney Visa card holder you get so many disney dollars to spend. I hope this helps.

Sorry I should have read further.:hippie: Triple A gets 10% off but the good news is, is that you will be going during value season?:cheer2:

We got a good deal with CAA at the PP this summer. It was $489 for a one bedroom suite during high season. It was much cheaper than the other two hotels and we got two bathrooms and a park view!

It might be worth it to upgrade one of your parkhopper tickets to an AP, if you can get PPH for the APnight rate of $129/night. That's a significant savings over their regular rack rate. I'd call disney first and see if it's available for the nights of your stay. If it is, the extra $$ for upgrading may be worth it to get the significant discount. Expedia has PPH for $225, so that's practically a savings of $100 a night. AAA/CAA gives only gives you a discount of 10% off rack rate. If an AP isn't the way you want to go, getawaytoday is running the 4th night free promo.

I tried calling Disney to see if the AP rates would be available for our stay, and he told me I have to go to the website, get a promotional code (with the AP already purchased), then call back. Is that how it works? Or should I call back another time?

Thanks!

No...you just need to call 714-956-Mickey and ask for the AP4 rate. You do not need to have the AP to book the room, you can purchase at the hotel at check in. They have really, really good ratea for all 3 hotels.

I'm sorry I didn't include the special rate code. It's AP4 like Hofmanns4 wrote. I believe the city view rate with that code is $129, w/ concierge it's $169 and parkview w/concierge is $189. Wishing you luck that your days are available for those rates. If they quote you a higher rate, Call back later. Days open up as people cancel reservations, and more rooms open up.

I called, and got those low rates for PP! Thanks! Now, the DLH was sold out, and (stupidly) I didn't even ask about the GCH ( I was too excited and befuddled!) Does anyone know what the AP rates are for the GCH? (if they aren't sold out, of course!)

Also, would you choose $129 no view or $149 theme park view? Do you know if you can request a higher up room for those rates?

Thanks, thanks and thanks again!

Im thinking of going dec 8-12 and this annual passport might be the way to go can I get just 1 and be ok to get all the discounts and then the other ticket buy a 4 or 5 day park hooper ticket.

Im in Utah and Ive been once aready this yr and going to go in dec Im sure I will go agian next yr just wasnt sure if the AP was right for me. But if it saves a ton on hotel and food it might be worth it in the long run.

I am so happy for you! The rates for the GC are $199 for a standard room and $279 for concierge. (Normally $570!) btw...i had to call about 6 times until all my dates were available. Availability changes as more rooms are released and people cancel.

As for PP, I would go for the park view room. When we stayed there we had a park view room on the 10th floor and it was a wonderful view. I am not sure what the standard view is at PP.

Happy planning!

I believe it's $199. I think that's for a standard room, but I'm not too sure. At those rates, GCH is selling out fast.

For $20 more, I'd chose a theme park view. We were surprisingly upgraded on our last stay there and it was wonderful looking at a Paradise Pier in DCA. It was our son's bday trip and he was so excited he could wake up and go to sleep with a wonderful view of his 2 favorite rides, TOT & California Screamin'.

Do you know if you can request a higher up room for those rates?
You can always make a request. Disney doesn't guarantee anything.

Bluegrizzlies: I believe you only need one AP in the family, to get the discount. You might want to call and ask. When we went in Feb, we got the AP 10% discount and only dh and i had APs. we upgraded the kids's parkhoppers at the end of that trip though.

You only need 1 AP to get the rate. However, it only cost us $70 more than the park hoppers to get all of us AP's. We are in AZ and do not usually come twice in one year, but for $70, I would love to make a spur of the moment trip next year.

Theme park view is totally worth it!!! Here is a view from our room
