We have to cancel our ENT rate ressies at HOJO

........ cause we are staying at the GRAND CALIFORNIA!

DH called EARLY this morning to talk about our trip this weekend and said "Sure wish we were staying at the Grand California".

I perked up and said "Well... we could.... remember when we called for the great AP4 rate? Well, I booked the room then and I have to cancel it today so we are not charged"

He said, "Cancel the HOJO GC here we come!"

Only dilemma now is the first night... no AP4 rates for Saturday (rate does not start until the 19th) so we will have to stay somewhere else or pay over $400 for the GC. We could stay at the HOJO for the 1st night but the Entertainment rate was not available so our rate was $125.00 ... I got to thinking why not try Priceline -- so I just bid for Saturday night only and got the Crown Plaza for $48.00!!! Not bad if I say so... half the price of the HOJO! Yeah I know it is not walking distance but it is for only 1 night.

Yeah how exciting! I'd probably never hear that out of my DH. A chance to save money, he does not pass up! Were staying at the GC in Oct, which he is happy about and we got an excellent rate. But never the less he doesn't see why we just don't stay offsite. LOL He'll enjoy it once he gets there.

The typical discount is 10% off the rate.

This is a GREAT deal considering the rate was over 400.00 for Saturday night.

The luck! How awesome is that! I have been to Disneyland 3 times in the past 6 months and I've never walked through GC. I think I'll peruse it when I do on Saturday! I've heard once you stay there you won't stay anywhere else!

So true! We tested out PP after our first trip to the GC and then decided that we would never stay anywhere else but the GC.

(Unless we are lucky enough to win the night in the Mickey Mouse Penthouse!)
