Crocs & Arch Insert

I have flat feet. I don't know why I waited so long, but I bought a pair of arch inserts for my New Balance shoes and I can't believe the difference when I walk. No more hip pain...you know...those muscles at the top of the thighs! (I can actually feel the muscles in my calves and front thigh muscles working when I walk now. :lmao: )

Only problem with my New Balance shoes is they are not very cushy and my feet get so hot in them. :sad2:

I absolutely love how cushiony my Crocs are, but I need more arch support than they give. I tried to put the insert in them, but of course they won't stay put. :sad1:

I tried the Crocs Reliefs, but they don't have enough arch support either.

The inserts I bought for my NB shoes are 3/4 inserts. Maybe if I buy a full length insert, they wouldn't slide around, but I'll bet my Crocs will be too tight then. (Heavy sigh)

There's got to be an answer. I would love to go to DL, just once, without my feet and hips killing me.

Anyone got any ideas?

my MIL tried on some shoes at a home shoe she was working, they let her wear them the entire day. . . they are like MDX or something like that, HOWEVER and this is the BIG HOWEVER here. . .. . they cost over 200 bucks . . . she said she is seriously thinking about it. . .

I have the opposite issue. I have really high arches.

Too bad I'm not a drag queen because my feet were made for high heels. Seriously, I'm talking Barbie feet. :lmao:

I've found some helpful items at footsmart.com.

Here's a link that might help with arch support that you could wear with Crocs:

http://www.footsmart.com/P-Arch-Pro-Tec-10036.aspx

per info on the other crocs thread, i checked out their website after having bought my 9th pair, i put myself on "notice". ;)

anyways, they have a new mary jane style shoe that says this:

ALICE
• crocs signature comfort available in a smart, slim-fitting mary jane-style design
• foot is fully enclosed, keeping feet warm and dry in all seasons
• more fiber located at the back of heel prevents slippage for a secure comfortable fit
• rubber sole creates traction for this go anywhere stylish shoe
• a reinforced shank provides greater arch support
• circulation nubs stimulates blood flow
• footbed conforms to foot creating a custom fit
• made with croslite™ material

so maybe that would work for you? it's a really cute shoe too.

Hmmm. I might try this strap if I can find one at a local drug store. I'm also considering the Crocs Cloud. The website says that an insert can be used in this shoe. I wish they had somewhere around here where I could try on a pair before buying them.

Love the Mary Janes. They fit me better than the 2 pair of beach ones I own. OF course my favorite is still the Athens. Okay, maybe I buy too many ugly shoes :confused3 :rotfl: :confused3 They sure are comfy though.

Hmmm I have flat feet also, but for me that pretty much means that I don't have much of an arch at all! Nothing to support! LOL For me the wide crocs feel like heaven because my feet can actually spread out normally and not squeezed like my other shoes.

I love the roominess of the Beach Crocs too, but the arch area of my foot aches so bad after walking even a short distance in them. My hips ache too because my feet roll inwards when I walk. The arch supports correct both of these symptoms.

I may get stuck wearing my New Balance shoes at DL unless I can bring myself to wear a pair of Crocs Clouds...but they're so darned ugly! :rotfl:

Would some double sided tape hold the inserts in place?

Wow...from reading all these posts, I guess I had better buy me some crocs. I have never tried them on before.

I didn't like the way they felt when I first tried them on because of the massage nubbies in them. However...after you have them on for awhile, they mold to the shape of your foot and you don't even notice the nubbies anymore. They also feel like they're way too big at first, but that's the way they're supposed to fit and pretty soon you don't even notice it.

I have never "walked out" of my Crocs. I did have the ride attendant at Dueling Dragons in Florida tell me that I had to sit on them because he felt they would fly off my feet during the ride. Afterwards, I agreed with him. That was some wild coaster! :scared:

Crocs are so light and cushioned that you really don't feel like your wearing a shoe at all. Hey...I wonder of Crocs will hire me as one of their spokesman. I sound just like a commercial! :rotfl2:

i'm not a fan of the nubbies either, but I wear socks with mine, just have a thing that I have to wear socks... we all have our little quirks and that is just one of mine. I have gone two and half days with no issues whatsoever, love my crocs! when people tell me how ugly they are I simply say, yes but my feet are happy so i'm happy and I do not care.

I just bought the Alice Crocs-While they're comfortable for short distances, I found that my instep got a HUGE hotspot (the length of my instep) because the shoe is so low on the inside edge. I used that Band Aid blister block the next day and was better (We're not talking park visit here, I just about had blisters just from walking an Ikea store!).

Anyway, The Alice shoes are REALLY cute and actually comfy if you don't get hot. When you get hot and your feet sweat (like it says, they're enclosed), you get spots that rub. Unless you buy them as small as possible in which case that can't be comfy.

I still like them, I just don't plan on ever walking a lot with them :)

Interesting you should post this tonight. JUST tonight I shoved a pair of arch supports in my CROCS walked all over and they felt great. I did wear a pair of ankle socks however. They stayed in fine and I could not believe the difference. I'm not a die hard croc person but it did work. Try socks

Are your inserts 3/4 or full length?

Tacoma Mall has a Crocs kiosk in the middle of the mall. Might be worth the trip. Also, South Hill Mall has a Hallmark's store that sells Crocs, but I am thinking their selection is not as large as the kiosk at Tacoma Mall. The Hallmark's is called Coach House Gifts, it's right across from Auntie Anne's Pretzels. The Tacoma Mall Kiosk, if I remember correctly, is located along the corridor in the middle of the mall, between the plaza by Orange Julius and the plaza in front of Macy's.

Hope that helps! The kiosk has Jibbitz, but no Disney Jibbitz. I have to get my Disney Jibbitz at the South Hill Mall.
