Gay Days Park Hopper Tickets?

We're planning a trip for December '07 (yeah!!) and in my search for discounted 3 day park hopper tickets I found the Gay Days website with tickets for $125.00. It looked like the tickets could be used anytime before mid-December so my questions are these: Does anyone know if these include and early entry? Also, do you have to show proof of being part of the convention to redeem the tickets at the gates? Thanks for any info, looks too good to be true and wondering if it is! Big savings!

We have used these before with much success, and will be using them again for our trip in Nov.

They do NOT include EE, and no, you don't have to show proof of being a convention attendee.

where can you buy these from? are they just regular park hopper tickets? and do they say anything about gay days on them? (not that it matters - just curious!). I am looking for ways to save money on our quick trip in Oct.

They will not be marked "gay days" in anyway. The back side of the hopper will say "convention" or an abbreviation of it.

Can these tickets be used for EE if we are staying onsite?
I would love to save a bit of money....but I do feel a little bit guilty buying tickets intended for people attending an event I'm not attending....is it possible they could sell out? Since the discount was intended for the Gay Days event, I wouldn't want someone actually going to DL for that purpose to not be able to get the discount, if that makes sense.

Yes, you will get EE privileges if you are staying at one of the three DLR properties. You just need to show your charge slip with your parkhopper.

The convention tickets won't "sell out" and you are not taking away from anyone else by purchasing them. Don't feel guilty! Why should they get such a great discount and not you?

As far as I have read here, if you're staying onsite, you get EE through that, by showing a slip of paper the hotel gives you. So you don't need your ticket for EE, if you're onsite.

Hmm. I won't consider them b/c it seems like those tickets are a rate that someone else negotiated for a group that I'm not part of. Same goes for the hotel rates I've seen mentioned.

I'm going to my HS reunion soon, and the organizers got a great rate at the hotel they chose. I bet they wouldn't want others horning in on that deal they agreed on! Or the rate I got fr my wedding guests. That was for wedding guests, no anyone who showed up and wondered why they don't get the rate!

To me this is like someone overhearing a bride's name and wedding/hotel plans, then using tht name to get a good rate, or a special, say Girl Scout rate to an event or theme park, and deciding to use it.

That's why we didn't consider making use of those tickets (and b/c the timeframe for upcoming trip doesn't work and we're getting APs for our December trip...piddly additional things like that ), or, since I mentioned them, the negotiated hotel rates.
