Hi I'm new to this forums and have a huge question I need answered ASAP:
My DH came home yesterday and said he would like to go the US&IA over christmas break. How crowed will it be? We'll be there the entire wk of christmas. Is it as busy as WDW is during christmas? we leave for WDW in 2 wks and don't have any other vacation time to go besides over christmas. Will it be worth the money?

Short answer....YES....it is crowded. I was there over Christmas '06. We got to US shortly after opening and most attractions had huge lines. If you want to stay on site and get the complimentary express pass available to hotel guests you will still be in good shape. We were at Disney so we actually paid $50 a head for the express pass. It was the only way to avoid 70 min. plus waits for pretty much everything. With this pass we were actually able to get both parks done in one loooonnnngggg day.IOA was noticeably less busy than US though for some reason. I didn't find it too bad walking around the parks it was just the wait times that were too long for me. I've been spoiled by fastpass. Remember I was only there for one day so I may have just picked the wrong one. Hope that helps.

I think you can probably go by the weeks that school is out, those will be crowded, the weeks before won't be as crowded. I'm thinking it peaks on the weekends before and after Christmas (not even sure what day it falls on this year) but I think generally you can go by that. But the weeks school is out it should be pretty crowded, maybe extremely crowded.

But if you stay on site and have the fast passses the crowds are not that big of a deal, or as big of a deal.

Crowded isn't the word to describe the crowds during Christmas week. It's more like mobbed. Every line is at least 75 mins from opening to close. Once you've been during that time of year, you won't ever go back!

Is that 75 minutes for the regular lines, or the Express Pass lines?
We are going between Christmas and New Years as well, but booked one night at the Royal Pacific Resort so that we get two days of Unlimited Express Pass.....will we be able to hit all of the big rides in two days during that time using Express Pass?

The Express Lines will be long too but I doubt they will be upwards for 75 mins or more. Just prepare to wait everywhere you go.
