We are thinking of taking a trip to DL and staying at the GC. When I called to inquire I was offered an upgrade to concierge service. Can anyone outline what the offerings consist of??

Staying concierge gives you access to the Craftsman's Club on the 6th floor which is open from 6:30am to 10pm and also gives you access to the Club Patio on the 5th floor. In the lounge continental breakfast is available from 6:30am to 10am (cereal, fruit, pasteries as well as juice, tea, coffee etc.) Lunch is available from 11 - 2 (I think these times are correct). They usually have sandwiches out uncrustables in packets as well as fruit. At dinner time more snadwiches and snacks are available (Mickey crispie treats, scones etc)There is a wine & cheese reception from 5pm to 7pm. During the day you can also go into the lounge as many times as you like and each visit you can take 2 bottled drinks per person out of the fridge. There is also complimentary beverage service in the Craftsman's Club throughout the day (coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks). The lounge also has a balcony on it where you can watch the fireworks from and they pipe the music in as well.

Concierge guests also get nightly turn-down service, a DVD Player in each room and complimentary movie rentals.

Concierge will also make any restaurant reservations you would like to make whilst staying there (but don't forget anyone staying on site can use the vacation planning service before they arrive.)

I hope this helps. I haven't stayed there yet, but we are staying there next year and this is the information I have found out whilst doing my research.

Thanks for posting this question and the info as well! We'll be at the GC concierge level in October and I was wondering the exact info myself. This is so much more clear than the answers I got from Disney. REALLY looking forward to it.

There is also nightly storytelling with cookies and milk for the kids.

We have stayed at the GCH concierge level several times. The information in a previous post is all very accurate. The wine and cheese offering usually includes fresh veggies and a hot appetizer. Beer is available on request. You can always ask the CM there for milk or juice for the kids if it is not out. Our whole family loves the crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! They are definitely a guilty pleasure. And we have always found kid friendly food there.

There is a story telling event down in the lobby, but the concierge lounge offers a special story time for its younger guests. Many kids wear pajamas and bring stuffed animals and pillows. There are milk and cookies too!

I highly recommend the concierge lounge if it is in your budget. Unlike WDW, we tend to make a lot of use of the lounge at DNL. I think that is bc there is so much to do at WDW we often are out and miss the offerings.

We leave in two weeks for our trip and I can't wait! :cloud9:

Have fun!

Wow - thanks for the added info! Anyone know what time the storytelling on the concierge level is held? Now I'm really excited!

We just stayed there the last week in July and I want to say it was around 8 PM. When you check-in they will give you a listing of the times for the various snacks as well as the time for the story time.

Staying on the concierge level was definitely a nice cherry on top of the sundae to vacationing at Disney! Even the priority check-in was a nice touch. We drove, and when we pulled through the security gate, the security guard put an 8.5x11 piece of paper on our windshield with our last name on it before we pulled through to check in. I wondered what that was all about, but that become clear quite quickly. As we pulled up, a CM came out to greet us by name and walked us up to the 6th floor to check us in. Nice!

How exactly does priority check-in work at the GC?

I was wondering the same. We will be arriving by Disneyland Express (we had thought about hiring a car at the start of the vacation but it would just be sitting in the car park for 4 days, so the Express would save us $100). Others have said they were met at the door and taken to check in at the lounge, but if you are on the Express will you have to use regular check in or will someone still come to meet you? We will be arriving at around 3:30pm so I guess check in mught be busy at that time? Maybe we should just hire the car straight away, which was the 1st plan anyway!

you know, I'm a bit confused. We stayed at the GCH in November, we were not concierge, in fact we had the super low AP4 rate that was out at the time. We had turn down service every night, we were told we could take the kids to the storytelling with milk and cookies and we were able to use the button on our phone to make dining ressies. I know that concierge you also get access to the free food but do they do turn down for all the guests?

"we were able to use the button on our phone to make dining ressies"

Since everyone staying onsite can have Vacation Planning make reservations, maybe that is who the button linked you to, or maybe it just linked you straight to Disney Dining?

(don't really know anything about GCH but I do know that about Vacation Planning. :))
