I wonder if you could answer a couple of questions, it mentions on the
osceola courthouse website that we need to read a handbook beforehand,
is it ok to read when we are there, we are not sure if they will ask us
questions regarding it before issuing us with the paperwork. If we didn't answer the questions accurately would they then not issue us with the licence............I am getting worried now.:headache: :headache:

The other question we have is that once we are married they like the
paperwork back with them within 10 days so that the marriage is
registered. Did anyone do this or did their officiant do this. It states on the officiant website that they do everything regarding the paperwork but I just wondered what has happened with others. Our officiant is Rev Kevin Knox.

Thanks

No worries. Yes, you have to read the handbook. No, they don't quiz you.

And once you get the marriage paperwork from the courthouse, your officiant is responsible for returning it to the courthouse. You should receive your corresponding license later. We got ours back pretty quickly; yours will likely take a wee bit longer, as you're from across the pond.

Feel better?

thanks so much I feel much happier now, I didn't want to stress about remembering the handbook as well.

You look gorgeous in your dress.

Thanks again:cool1:

do you get anything to say you have got married or do you leave with nothing once the officiant takes it away?

We need to prove its our honeymoon once we leave disney to go on our honeymoon

i didnt have to read the handbook, didnt even know there was one
our officiant took our licence and sent it back for us
we didnt have anything saying we were married until we got our certificate back
hope that helps

Hi, congratulations first.

Getting the license was really easy, we just turned up early and just took our documents. They ask you to complete a form, and they then type this up for you to sign. You have to confirm that the information you're giving is true, and then you have your license to give the Reverend. I worried about this for months before we went in case we didn't have the right documentation. I would recommend calling the Courthouse before you leave just to confirm what you are taking will suffice!:cool2: They post the wedding certificate to your home address. No need to stress.
