Hey everyone,

We are back safe and sound and married!!! Times seems to fly so quickly when you are in Disney and I wish we could have had at least another week. On the other hand, we are all so exhausted that there is no way we could have made it through another week at the pace we kept.

The wedding was amazing with the exception of a couple hitches, but everything worked out and it made it more memorable. We did have a couple people go down with heat exhaustion the day of the wedding and ended up missing the dessert reception, but luckily it was none of the wedding party or any immediate family members. I was also kind of glad my sister's boyfriend chose that day to be sick because it gave him the chance to relax and recoop while we did wedding stuff and he was all ready to go again for the parks the next day.

We have gotten all our photos back already and they look great. I will try to upload some pretty soon. For now, I will leave you with this photo that shows how exhausting our vacation truly was. We did the 2am magic hours at the Magic Kingdom the night before we left so we ended up having just enough time to get back to our resort and pack before we had to board the bus to the airport. It was my first all nighter and it was totally worth it!

I won't be able to start the trip report for a couple weeks because I still have lots of work to do before our second wedding. We are also picking up our new puppy this thursday so she should eat up a lot of our time in the next few weeks. Just because I can't resist sharing how cute she is, here is the latest picture of our little Bullini. I can't wait to pick her up!

What a doll!! She has such a sweet face!

I am bored at work right now so I thought I would get going on this. We are still waiting for some photos from friends, but I thought I would start.

Friday, July 13

We had my company golf tournament on Friday, July 13 which just happened to be in the same city an hour and a half away where my younger brother and sister live. I was planning to take the day off work to go get them, but it worked out perfect that I got paid to go golf and was able to pick them up at the same time.

After a good game of golf, we left before the meal even started in order to get Kaylee (my little sister) and Dylan (my little brother) from my mom's house and have time to drive the hour and a half back and pick up my dress. I got to the bridal shop around 5:15 and tried on my dress and to my dismay it still did not fit right. The top panels were bulging and not sitting right and I was very upset because I had spent a lot of time getting measured and having them rework it. I had to take it on and off about 3 times while they sewed it in different areas and in the end I still was very unhappy with the dress. By then it was 6:00 pm and the shop was closing and we flew out the next morning so there was nothing I could do about it. I grudgingly paid my alteration bill and took the dress home.

When I got home I had a complete meltdown because I was so upset about the dress. Curtis worked to calm me down, but I was still mad because I had paid so much for the bloody thing and I wanted it all to be perfect. In the end, the dress did look fine, but I was so worried about it looking horrible in the pictures that I turned into a complete mess.

After the dress fit, we finished up our packing and tried to get some sleep before our early morning flight.

Saturday, July 14

Our flight left around 7:00am so we had to be up and out of the house by around 3:30. We had a cab booked and everyone was packed and ready the night before, but we didn't end up getting much sleep. We are experiencing a heat wave right now and our house doesn't have air conditioning so that combined with the excitement meant that no one slept more then a couple hours. We did manage to get some sleep on the plane, however.

Getting through the airports and onto the plane went smoothly and I even ran into a guy I went to high school with on our first flight. It was kind of fun to catch up with him and exciting to be able to tell everyone I was off to get married in Disney World. I wore my wedding hoodie with our names and dates on it for both flights and it paid off because the stewardess offered Curtis and I a free drink on the flight from Salt Lake City to Florida. At the end of the flight we found out the girl behind us was on her way to Florida to get married, but she didn't get the free drink! Score one for me.

I was a little worried about travelling with the dress. Our first plane was too small to stow it above us, so I did have to put it with the checked luggage. They had it ready and waiting for me as soon as we got off the plane. The second flight I put it in the overhead bins.

Once we finally got to Florida and figured out the magic express, we made it to the caribbean beach resort and checked in to the two rooms we had reserved for my family and I. We then tried to check in to the room we book for Curtis and I starting tuesday and they had the wrong dates for it. It took awhile but they got it sorted out, but it was a little frustrating for us. We also got our Just Married pins upon check in.

After we checked out our rooms, (complete with one towel animal) we made our way to MGM for dinner and Fantasmic. We were all really hungry so Curtis grabbed a burger and I decided it was as good of time as any to try a turkey leg. My sister, brother and I each got one but only my brother was able to make it through most of the leg.

After that, we watched Illuminations and went back to the rooms to wait for my older sister, Erin and her boyfriend to arrive from Calgary. As we were walking back through MGM I told Curtis "I love Disney World" and he asked how I possibly could since we hadn't even really seen anything in the parks and I told him I just knew. As soon as you get there, it just makes you happy!
