Know when 2008 package prices and reservations will be released?

My family is planning a WDW trip in January of 2008. We'd love to stay on property and use the dining your way option but Disney hasn't yet relased the prices nor can you make reservations. Does anyone know when this might happen? We're all so ready to start planning!

Everyone else is responding end of July or in August. We too are shooting for Jan. Which week are you looking at? We may do the 20th and on from there-haven't decided how any nights yet.

We will be there at POR from Jan. 31 until Feb 10 and I too am waiting for the prices. We always like the packages with the DDP! Enjoy

Make your ADR's now even though you haven't booked the room yet... you don't want to be stuck out of meals when you are pretty sure you are going. You can always call back to change or cancel them.

I don't have a room yet but I called at 180 days to make sure I got Le Cellier and crystal palace for the times that I wanted.

How can you make ADR with no reservation # attached to it? Sorry if that's a silly question - I just didn't think you could do that. Also, I thought you could only go out 90 days to make ADRs- has that changed (I hope I hope!)

I wasn't asked for my reservation information when I booked our ADR's. I think anyone can make them... even guests staying off-site.

You can make ADR's out 180 days, plus 10 days past your arrival date if you are staying in a WDW resort. So that gives you another bonus for staying on WDW property!

This may sound silly....but I've always wondered how people can say that they're going at a certain time in 2008 when the prices haven't even been posted...
I guess it doesn't stop anyone from saving money or planning on taking the time off work. For the longest time I thought I was missing something because I couldn't find prices for 2008,,,when they really haven't been posted!!

We are still waiting on the '08 packages too! We are going March 10-16. We already bought our plane tickets, just waiting on the package!

You can book a trip any time you want, for any YEAR you want. You just won't know the price until they come out with them...

I called Disney yesterday and the CM told me the first or second week in Aug. I am holding a room only right now, but want to change to a pkg with the DDP. We are going the last week in Jan. I already have the room booked and our air.

We also booked our room yesterday over the phone, we are going Jan 4th-12th.
When I booked I was told 2 weeks till I could book a package. Just to let you know i tried to book CR garden wing room and there was no availability
so we have split our stay between AKL and CR.
I also booked some restaurants without any problem.
Depending on when you are going it may be wothwhile calling and making your reservation now.

Oh the wait is killing me....I am planning on going Dec 2008 or Jan 2009. I can't decide when to go or where to stay until I see the prices. I can't even start booking a room only.
If you know when you are going, I would recommend booking a "room only" now and upgrade to the packages when they come out!

We are going to WDW Jan. 8th thru the 15th. We can't book our room yet, but we have made our ADRs. There was no problem doing that. I also booked the Perfectly Princess Tea Party without having a room reservation. We may not have anywhere to sleep, but we'll be well fed!

You can book room only, they'll ask for a deposit of something like 180.00 Once the '08 rates are released you can do the package. I don't know how quickly rooms fill up with the marathon being in that weekend, but something to consider.

Ditto on that, and we booked airfare too. Got a pretty good RT rate of 238PP non-stop .

OK...I am hoping that someone here has experience with both vacation packages an DVC that can help me. I've only ever dealt with DVC so I am just trying to find a better deal.

Ok, obviously $$$ aren't out yet for 2008 yet but im just trying to see what someone thinks. My dbf and I are in the process of planning a vacation for May 2008 (13th-24th were shooting for). We are taking his parents and they have never been. He is covering the cost for all of us for the trip and I have done the math and it comes out to approximately $4700 which includeds, airfare (2), DDP, room (DVC studio), park tickets. I was curious if it would be cheaper if we did it as a vacation package??? Sorry im clueless when it comes to vacation packages.

I spoke with reservations yesterday and was told Aug 5th packages will be released for 2008. I'm not holding my breath though.

I have been watching to buy tickets before the annual price increase. The past several years, Disney has released price increases for park admission and room rates on the first Monday in August. I would expect both to come on the 5th. I am going to buy my MYW tickets on the preceding Saturday to be sure.
