Connecting studios @ BWV?

We are a family of 5, and it looks like it would be more cost effective for us to rent 2 BWV studios rather than a 2 bdrm. We would be renting points.

My questions are:

Are there connecting Studios at BWV?

Can the person I rent from make 2 reservations for me? Can they get a guarantee that the rooms will connect?

Has anyone ever done this?

Any advice???

Thanks!

There are no connecting studios at BWV or at any DVC resort. You can have a member reserve more than one room for you and request that they are close to each other, but it is just a request.

Most of the 1BRs at AKV (those not in the value category) will sleep 5, so this might be an option for your family.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

The only thing a studio connects to is a one bedroom to make a two bedroom.

Sometimes the resort's idea of close is two different floors, but directly above or below. Sometimes it's on the same floor, but different wings. And depending when you go AND when you check in, it might be two different buildings.

If you go the two studios' route, plan on splitting the adults in your family up for the entire vacation. Then if you are anywhere near each other you can be pleasantly surprised.

We rented 2 studio units at BWV about a year and a half ago .. we requested them to be close together and on the same floor. They were very close together .. about 2 doors away from each other and they were on the same floor. Hope this helps. I agree that the time of year you visit may play a role.

Just remember that there is no guarantee and you could end up with rooms at opposite ends of the building . If you have one child under 3 who you can be in a studio or 1 BR with 5 in the family.

To me, it wouldn't be worth the hassle to chance two studios versus a 2 bedroom unit. The extra cost isn't sufficient enough to warant that kind of inconvenience in my book.
