AAA Parking Pass

I always drive or rent a car when we go to Disney. I could really use a AAA Parking Pass. If I join AAA (not a bad idea) what do I have to do to get the pass? I won't book a trip with them because we have an annual pass but I would buy a 1 day pass or something if I had to.

If anyone has one they are not going to use I would put it to good use for sure!

Each office or region may have its own rules. Generally you need to book your trip with AAA to get the pass, sometimes just buy tickets (but keep in mind most AAA offices sell a limited selection, e.g. maybe just five or six day hoppers), sometimes you can just go in and get one for the asking.

You can book your WDW resort stay with them. You get a room discount and a parking pass. Most people are leary about giving them away anymore because people who received them for free from other members were found to be selling them online. Not nice... and not really fair to those who received them legitimately through AAA and use them as spaces are limited.

I went to local AAA office Tues. and both 2, 3 day hoppers and asked for PP. She just handed me one. :goodvibes
Last year I called and asked if they had any she said she had one left and saved it for me. I didn't buy anything, just went in a picked up. I did have to show my card.

Go to your local office and tell them you will join AAA if they provide one of the parking passes. They will jump at the chance.

Don't count on this. Ours won't give you one unless you book your package through them! So not all offices will jump at the chance. I just wish it was consistent. It isn't right for them to have different standards across the country.

My office won't either. However, I think the "offical" standard is that you have to book a package. Everything I have ever read from AAA only mentions this "perk" in association with a package. When you read the "ticket price" section for example, it doesn't say you get the parking pass, nor does this appear if you book a hotel room via their on line info.

That said. I have seen the AAA spaces and IMHO it's not worth all the excitment. They also fill up during the busy seasons so you may not get one....

You know, actually I can understand different policies throughout the country - but I don't get why one office in a region (e.g. Southern New England) will hand it out just for the asking, while one five miles away requires the purchase of a package. Consistency within regions would be appreciated, at least.

I agree with CarolA that sometimes the parking is not the greatest. When it's busy, unless your there early the spaces are gone and you park with everyone else. I have gotten great parking sometimes too!
I have AAA office that is very close to me (5 miles) and they won't give them out either, but the one that's 10 miles away will, so agree they should all be consistant. but because I know the other will give them out if they have glad their not.
