trying for a 1bdrm dec 2-7

I finally got my packet and got it all signed and shipped outh the other day. I called to book my trip for dec 2-7 @ VWL and there was only 1 day available on the 2nd. i took it at the advice of my DVC salesman. and waitlisted the rest of the days. Has anyone else done this before? booking 1 day at at time? Does the Disney collection fill up as fast? I was really looking forward to going and now Im skeptical it will go. Help!!

That is one of the busiest weeks of the year for DVC (I know, I booked Dec 1 to 7 day by day at 11 months for BWV). Can you change your dates?

I just reread your post. VWL is the smallest of all the DVC's. It that the only one that you waitlisted for?

we are waitlisted for AKV as well. I would really take first available. I have my salesman working on it as well, is that a guide?

Your DVC salesman is your guide. It is a very hard date to get. It is low point season and goes early on, especially at VWL. Members call at the 11 month window to book this DVC for that week. Is there another date you may be able to go? People change plans all the time, so here is wishing you pixie dust!!

Are you not willing to take anyplace but the two smallest resorts? VWL is the smallest overall and VAK will be PRETTY small still this December.

I would book SSR or OKW if avaiable and then waitlist. I think even a guide cannot work miracles (in other words they are not throwing out a current member for you)

We are too! My brother is a Fireman at St. Andrews. He is ok. This is such a small world! I sure hope you get your reservation! Carol is right... try to get a reservation at Saratoga Springs or OKW and waitlist one of the smaller resorts or see if you can waitlist both of them. This is a great board for help. For those of you that don't know, Goose Creek is about 15 miles from The Sofa Super Store that burnt down and killed the 9 fireman on June 18th. Let me know if I can assist you, in any way.
