Yes that is right!:surfweb: I want to plan for our Jan/Feb trip which is just 6 months away party: The problem is :scared1: no one seems to know when the 2008 packages are going to be available. Even Disney doesn't know when the new deals will be out. Any one have a clue? How am I supposed to make dinner reservations 6 months ahead if I can't book the package? I guess I will just keep checking back every day or so.

I called last week and made room reservations but was told I would have to call back about tickets. You're right, she didn't even know when the packages would be released. I'm going to call tomorrow with a building request, so I'll ask again. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Last year I believe rates came out in the middle of August! I needed to book for January as well, so what I did was book my ADR's even without having my package set up. Once I had my package set up I just called WDW dining back and told them my resort. It worked out fine.
I am waiting for the points for the other WDW resorts to come out (the ones that are NOT DVC). We are trying for 3 days at either CR or Poly. We will see what happens!

***raises hands*** I"m not-so-patiently waiting for packages myself. I booked rooms at the WL for Jan. 11-16 (196 days away  ) but would like to know the exact cost. Thhis wait is KILLING me.

he way we look at it is, we're going whether a package comes out or good rates either way. We just plan everything, we do not have alot of dining plans, we stay 10-12 nights and dine by the seat of our pants, this visit is our 39th and no real problems in dining. We book room only, packages don't save us anything, we know what we like and want and have AP's so its cheaper for us to go with the room only part. Our vacations plans are not dependent on codes or free dining or any of that down the road iffy stuff. We prefer the WL and if later a code or discount does come out, we'll apply that to our reservation, no big deal. I do not think planning would change from staying deluxe or value or inbetween, so plan away, make whatever reccies you feel are necessary, we do not like dining to a scheduled clock, and make your schedule, nothing is really dyed in the wool at Disney. Once we hit property, alot of things change, especially dining preferences and times.
