I just made an ADR for Ohanas in December and was told the price was $30.99 for adults. I looked at Deb's website and she has it listed as $25.99. So I called Disney back because it was odd, when I made the ADR she kept mentioning it was "holiday time".

I found out after September 30th the price at Ohanas is going from $25.99 to $26.99. But from December 15 - January 5th the price will be $30.99 due to "holiday pricing". GOOD GRIEF. This is definitely our last holiday visit to the world.

She said she didn't know how the menus would be priced at other TS restaurants that were not a set price (50's PTC for instance).

Sorry this is old news to everyone. I knew Cinderellas breakfast had this holiday pricing but I didn't know the other restaurants were doing it also.

Yes, I believe that Disney is cashing in on a very popular time of year. But I think that if you look at all destinations, prices will be higher at Christmas. we'll be in WDW from 12/19 to 12/25 and I'm preparing for the cost increase.

I just made a FDP reservation for Hollywood & Vine and the CM gave me the "holiday" pricing. It was a $5 increase for adults and $3 for children from the pricing allears is showing.

There is another thread that lists the increases at several other restaurants.

Heh, WDW is a company with stockholders, so they are there to make money, and people will pay the price, so not suprising they raise their rates somewhat during the peak season..

Some people may pay the price increase but it is making me rethink all our ADR's. We will either do more counter service or perhaps add on the dining plan. Or will that have a premium price around the holidays too??

I suggest using the Dining Plan during a holiday stay this year...that's what we're doing. The price of the plan is not going up for the holidays (from what I've heard), even though meal prices are.

Makes it an even better value.

I just called WDW Dining to make a lunch reservation at Akershus for Sat. Nov. 24th. I was told the price is $28.99 (holiday pricing - even though Thanksgiving in on 11-22), and there are no dining discounts with DDE! She said Thanksgiving holiday prices are in effect from Nov. 18-24. I'm glad that wasn't the case LAST year when we were at WDW at the same time. We arrive Nov. 24th for 3 nights, so I think I'll wait until the 25th to make dining reservations.

Well I just called Disney Dining. Whenever HOLIDAY PRICING is in effect you CANNOT use the DDE. Incredible.

Hmmm....I wonder if that will be true. That's not how the cards were sold. I know, we just bought one last month.

When someone purchases the card, it is printed in our paperwork, what days you cannot use the card (Mother's Day, July 4th, Christmas Eve, etc.). I'm going to look & see if there's a clause in our paperwork that says, "Subject to change without notice). Otherwise, people payed a lot of money ($65.00 for the card), & now can't use it on days they thought they could.

I know! We used it last December and probably just broke even. We scheduled our trip to use it again just before it expires and now we find out its invalid for every day of our trip.

I'm not really going to worry about it...I can't believe that will be the case.

We'll be in WDW Dec. 20-26 & on the Dining Plan, but I've made several ADRs where we planned on using DDE.

I wasn't told about any increases when i made my adr's,so does that mean that Boma(12/14) crystal palace(12/30) and Ohana(1/1) will all have increased in price?

Holiday pricing in effect November 18-24 and December 16 thru Jan 5

I can't believe they're doing this. :sad2:

I'm starting to re-look at our adr's to see if i will change any or not.I wish they had said something when i booked them.

I wasn't told about any increase in prices either when I made my inital ADR's. Today I called to change one of them to an earlier time and then the CM told me about the increase. If you are going during the holiday pricing, Ohanas is $30.99 per adult. We have an ADR there too so that's how I know.

If anyone wants to call the DDE number to ask how the "extended holidays" affect the discount, the number is (407) 566-5858, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

I called the DDE office, and the woman I spoke with said she will be talking to Disney Dining about the incorrect information they are giving out. Only during the named holidays will you not get the 20% discount - even though higher holiday pricing will be in effect on other days.

As I stated before, I KNEW it couldn't be true...but thanks for checking!! :goodvibes
