Four days left and counting until our first trip home to SSR. :yay: I just can't handle the wait.

Since this is our first trip as DVC members I don't want to forget anything of our DVC stuff we absolutely need. We have our DVC member cards. Do we need our ressie confirmation letter?

Is there any of our DVC stuff I am forgetting. I sure don't want to get there and not have something we need and miss out on benefits.

Thanks!:thumbsup2

You are good to go. We always take the printed reservation confirmation but have never had to take it out of the bag.

Your room key will say "DVC Member" on the bottom and many places will use this as member identification. Still, we take the blue ID cards as well just in case.

When you check in they will give you a DVC packet that includes member perks and other DVC info.

You don't need any other DVC material to take advantage of the DVC benefits during your stay. Have a great trip!! :)

Since you are staying at SSR, you may want to take a 1/2 hours to check out the AKV models right on site at SSR. I think after 5PM the models are open to DVC members to stroll through without an appointment. We looked at them back in April and were very impressed. I just don't have any extra money at this time for more points.

If you are in a 1 or 2 bedroom and will have a kitchen, you might want to be sure and pack some of your staples like sugar, coffee, tea etc. That and laundry soap. We usually buy all our other food items down there, but I can never be sure of getting the exact things I like in coffee, tea and saundry soap, so I bring it with.

Thanks for this info. I wasn't aware of AKV model on site. That is cool. We will be sure to do this!:thumbsup2

You might want to see if you can find the special non-locking door which leads to the "Contemporary themed" un-announced furture someday DVC models as well ... I will be looking for those when I go in Dec/Jan :rolleyes1
