Points are not in my account...hmmmm

I closed my resale this week and got my membership number yesterday. Online yesterday there were no points in my account. So I called MS this morning. First I called accounting, and they said I needed to talk to MS. I was transferred to MS. The lady said that sometimes it takes a few days for the points to show up, something about it happening on Wednesdays. But always in the afternoon. She said to check back this aftrenoon. Or Weds afternoon. Hmmm.

Does this sound right to folks who did resales? Did your points take a few days to show up? I should be receiving 106 banked 2006 points and full 2007 points.

Can I also ask, do the folks at MS always sound a little annoyed by your call? It's noticeably different than when you make a regular reservation at a resort. Seems wrong after spending so much money. JMO

Thanks

Yes, that's normal. I think the account has to be set up first, and then a different set of folks put the points in. When we closed on our resale, the points went in the next business day, but sometimes it takes a couple of days.

When everything is in, be sure to double-check to be sure all the points are right. I was going to bank some points right away, but found they'd already been banked by the previous owner. That was no harm/no foul, but in another situation, it could have made a difference. So be sure to check.

Thanks

It's been my experience that most (not all) of the MS CMs I've dealt with have been pleasant and helpful. As in any occupation though, I'm sure there are a few employees working there whose job skills and strengths are not a good fit for customer service interaction.

Congratulations on your purchase!

They may have just been frustrated that they couldn't help you. There's nothing they can do until the points go in the account.

MS is normally very helpful. I've never experienced any annoyance or rudeness...although I'm sure some have.

Thanks so much Jim MIA and jarestel. Makes me feel better. I was just getting nervous I guess. I've come this far, and soooo close to actually being able to make a reservation.

Good news, my points came through this afternoon and I was able to make my first reservation! And the MS person, Gwen, could not have been nicer or more helpful.

So...I'm in! Thanks everyone. This was quite a process...

WELCOME HOME!!!!!

We're kind of in the same boat! We closed last Monday (6/11) and we are showing as owners but with no points! I was told to call tomorrow (Wednesday). Unfortunately, we haven't gotten our membership number yet, but we did receive our password for the website. However, it doesn't do us much good without our membership number.:confused3
