Is it possible to download the podcasts onto my Sandisk MP3 player? I hope so- I would love to be able to listen to them when I am laying down with my daughter to put her to bed at night. I am totally new to podcasts though, and don't know if they can go onto non-ipod mp3 players.

TIA for any advice or assistance!

You can download any podcast to any mp3 player-however you can not use itunes to do it.
Just click the XML button on the DIS Unplugged page-you will get a list of all the podcasts-just right mouse click on the title and choose Save Link As... and save the file to your computer.
You can then take that mp3 file and put it on your player using whatever software you use to manage your music.
It is very simple-good luck.

I can do that- thanks for the instructions. I can't wait to get them loaded up tonight when I get home!

I tried to follow the instructions... when I click on the 'xml' I get what looks like code. I see titles, but when I right click on them, I don't get an option to save link as. I see web addresses of where the podcasts are stored... if I copy and paste them into my browser, the podcast launched in windows media player, but I don't know if I can save it....

Am I doing something wrong, or is there something up with the XML page? Help!

I have a Sandisk also if you still need help. I download them in itunes and then just copy and paste them, very simple.

Can you elaborate on that a little?

How do you find them?

Copy what and Paste where?

I'm pretty computer literate, but I just don't have an idea (yet) on how
itunes and mp3 work together.

Thanks.

After iTunes downloads them you have to find out where they are on your computer, you can't just copy them from itunes without an official IPOD. Mine are in: My documents-my music-itunes-itunes music-podcasts-the dis unplugged. Then you can left click on the episode you want and choose "copy" then open up your sandisk and click paste. Does this help enough?

I use a free program called Juice to download all of my podcast. Once they are downloaded I copy them to my SD card and put it back into the mp3 player. This is a lot easier than using all the extra software. My computer has a built in card reader. I can move the SD card to my GPS and play them in the car. Never used itunes and never had an ipod, been listening to many podcast since Sept 2005.

The good thing about itunes is that it will go in and get all your podcasts automatically. I download about 25 so this saves me a lot of time looking for them. Oh, and itunes is free also.
