Bounce Back Program?

I beleive at the end of 06, if you were at WDW on a trip and booked a return trip to a WDW resort for this fall, you got free dining. Not sure of the dates for either end of that, but that's the general idea.

That's it. I'm not sure what the eligibility dates were, but we were at OKW in early November and received the offer on that trip. You had to be physically registered in a Disney onsite resort during a certain period to be eligible. If you wanted to "Bounce back," you registered on the spot for a return trip in 2007. We weren't interested, so I didn't pay that much attention to it.

I'm not sure what the Bounce Back or UK promotion dates were, but I think both of those free DDP periods might have been longer than the free dining that was made available to the general public. The strong response to those two promotions is one reason why the free DDP period this year is shorter than the last couple of years, I believe.

Bounceback begins Aug. 5 but I'm not sure the ending date. I'm thinking it might be 9/29.:confused3

It was till the end of Sept. We're booked from Sept 26th to 30th.

Last years "Bounceback" promotion was only for guests who were staying at WDW Resorts in Nov-Dec 2006 and willing to prebook their next vacation for 8/5/07-9/29/07 to get "free dining" - it started on 11/8/06, and expired on 12/31/06. (JMO, but I bet they offer some of the same type of deals next year because from reading the posts on here it sounded like plenty of people who were staying at the resorts were going ahead and booking their next stay) :)

We were at the WL and BWI in December and saw NOTHING mentioned about it at either resort - if I hadn't read the DIS I wouldn't have known anything about it! Just another reason to always read the DIS! :goodvibes

Also - the "Book Ahead" free dining promotion for UK residents began 8/25/06 (and expired 11/6/06) and was for stays 8/12/07-9/29/07 - it was to give UK residents more time to get their international air booked, etc.

It was till the end of Sept. We're booked from Sept 26th to 30th.

You had to check into your resort, by no later than Sept 29th, but then could get free dining for the length of your entire stay. I booked the Bounce Back Program in Dec and asked the CM 'when was the last day I could check in and still get free dining for the entire trip'. We have free dining from Sept 29th-Oct 7th (Food & Wine Festival here we come:cool1: ). He said as long as we were checked in by Sept 29th the free dining would carry over for the entire trip.

I figure with alot of people moving their trips up in order to get the general free dining, that WDW will probably be like a ghost town that week. At least I'm hoping so. I've been the last two Sept (both times in mid-Sept) for free dining and both times parks were almost empty, but TS restaurants were packed. Hopefully, not this year!

Hi
I was at Pop last December and booked the bounce back trip while I was staying there. They had a paper in our room telling about it. I booked my trip for 8/18 to 8/25 with the free dining. So I get free dining the week before it starts for the general public.

I know. We did that last year. We checked in on Sept 30th. That's why we booked this trip a bit earlier so we could get in one more trip on our AP's :)

We booked two trips through this program--August 10-20 and September 28-October 8. We are all so looking forward to all the great food!

We were also in WDW last November and they gave us a flyer on the program in with our check at CM during dinner one night. I booked us before we checked out for 8/18-8/25 at WL. I'm glad we took that week, as now the general free dining starts the day after we leave. I figure the parks will be mildly crowded, since this is one of the last 2 weeks of summer before a lot of schools are back in session.

We were there last year but later on (9/9-9/16) and the parks were practically empty. Our school started 9/20 so we were able to take advantage of a much later visit. It was probably one of the best trips we've ever taken. We're starting regular time this year (9/6) so we can't come down that late. I'm hoping that it won't be that bad, given the later start for general free dining.

Wouldn't have known anything about it if I hadn't read it here. Stayed at OKW. Apparently it was only announced at targeted resorts (Contemporary, Pop, POR, BC/YC). Went to the Beach Club and booked at a desk in the lobby.

We got the offer at OKW. It may be because of your signature...;)

We were there last Sept. but never got an offer like that. I am going the end of Aug. into Sept. I would have changed my date. I wanted to go in Oct. but moved it up becvause of free dining.

From what I've heard, the Disney folks were flabergasted by the response to Bounce Back. The response was supposedly much greater than they expected.

There were actually people who heard about it here and booked special trips to WDW just to get Bounce Back. They flew to Orlando, checked in, made their Bounce Back arrangements, and then flew out the same day...some of them without ever setting foot in their rooms or a theme park!

You had to have been on property in November or December 06 to get the offer to come back in Aug or Sept 07.

I made a special trip to Disney to get the Bounce Back trip :thumbsup2 I did spend 3 days in Disney though. I used a free flight from the Wendy's cup promo too :) It was a good short trip.
