I just realized that I have a 9am at CRT, I dont want to be late and have to wait for the rope drop.

Can I change it (even though they charged my card already last week) or will I be able to get in the requested 10 min early for my 9am? (Every ADR I made the cm's are reminding me to check in at least 10min earlier than my ADR and to allow enough travel time)

everything i've ever heard is that a 9 am crt means not getting into the park early, so you'll have to wait at the tunnels until 9.

if you can get an earlier time, you're welcome to it. they can't just change it though. they need to cancel and refund your original payment and rebook a new one for you and charge you again (you'll need the credit card in hand)

What about an 8 am reservation? I have a 4 and 2 year old... how early should I get to the gate to allow time to get to the castle in time?

Get to the turnstyles around 8:30ish. Head over to the far left..at least that's where the CM's have been when I've needed to enter before park opening. Tell them you have an ADR, give them your name. If it's a bit closer to 9, like 8:45 or so, you should be able to get into the park. I've had a seating at 8:45 and had no problem getting in before. I can't imagine that 15 mins would make a big difference.

The park opens at 8:00a for ADR guests only (if the park opens officially at 9:00a). So CRT will understand why you are a couple of minutes late and you won't be the only one a couple of minutes late.

There will be one turnstyle for ADR guests. Sometimes it's to the far left but once I went it was on the right side. There should be a sign and a CM at that turnstyle though.

I had a ADR at CRT at 9 once and they wouldn't let me in early for that one. When I had it at 9, I just told them my time was 8:45 and they let me in. They said 9 am ADRs get in at 9.

I also have a 9:00 ADR , so that means I will be late because my Adr is not before the park opens. If there is a mad rush I will be late and since my father is in a wheel chair and it takes time to get from the entance to the castle puhing him we will be late it is not like we can run , and you are suppose to be there 15 mins before your Adr , so the best thing to do would be to tell them my ADR is at 8:45 right?

That might not work. When we were there and had an 8:05am for CP, the CM had our ADR and time printed out so they know what time the ADR is

I thought one of the main reasons of getting an early ADR at the castle was being able to get onto Main Street early to get good pictures of your family without a million people in the background. If they don't let you in then how do so many people get these great shots???

They do let you in. The gate opens for those with ADRs at 8:00a even if the park opens at 9:00a. So those with ADRs between 8:00a and 8:45p have no problems.

What some are worried about is having an ADR around 9:00a which is the exact same time as the rope drop. They might be held back and thus late for their ADRs.

I don't think it's a problem. Every time I had an 8:00a ADR they didn't ask me the time it was. Also, there is no problem getting in at 8:30a for a 9:00a ADR. Also, there is no problem being a few minutes late either.

I've done an 8:00a ADR several times and the park opened at exactly 8:00a so I was always a few minutes late with no issues at all. Everyone was in the same boat.

It would be (all that was open on the 180+10 mark for me was 9:00) but the adrs that would work for this would only be from 8 - almost 9am.

I had hoped to do that, now I just want to be able to not be late for my ADR. We leave around noon that day, so this is our last day activity for DD birthday. It is a surprise for her, so I was just excited to get in at an early enough ADR to eat and get back to the hotel before we leave.

You probably know this but CRT only releases a very few tables with that onsite perk (180 from checkin, booking 10 days worth) so if you would like a bigger selection of times to choose from it's best to call 180 days from the date you want to eat there. That is when they release the majority of the tables.

OK I gotcha!! Thanks for the help. I think you have answered all of my questions that I have asked this week!

Good luck! Have fun with your surprise. We have never eaten in the castle before but hope to when we take our DD to WDW in December for her b-day.

I changed it to 8:20 am. That way we can do the pictures in the empty park first. I wasnt going to but, the more you think about things......
