How do you get in?

I have ADR's for Donald's Breakfast at AK at 8:20 am on a day when the park does not open until 9. How do I get in? Any chance I'll be done in time to get in line for expedition everest before the gates open?

Go to the park like you normally would.

There will be CMs at the gate to let you in. We did this a few years ago, so I am trying to remember, but I think maybe we had to give our name and/or confirmation number so they knew we were on the list.

Then a CM walked us back to the restaurant.

It all worked out just fine.

I believe the dining check-in for early access to the park is located on the right side of the turnstiles. They have a sign there, so it's easy to find. I would have both your name and confirm # with you, in case of any questions.

I doubt you will be done eating before 9:30 a.m., so work that into however it best fits your park plan for that day.

You won't be able to get to EE before the parks open. They have ropes blocking access to the attraction areas of AK.

Make sure that you take the bus from your resort. We drove our car, even though we were staying on property and they would not let us in to park the car until they opened up the parking lot for everyone.

That's odd. You should've been allowed to park as you had an ADR.

I have heard the same thing over and over about this. Definitely take the bus!!

Absolutely true! A few years back we took a taxi to an early breakfast at Donald's. The driver told us right away he had trouble getting into the gate just recently and he was right. Cars lined up all over the place. Our taxi driver and other drivers pleaded with the Cast Member to let us through and the person finally relented. However I have read many posts that only Disney buses are allowed in early.

We would have taken the bus except that the CM at our resort told us the bus would not run that early (wrong information, we have come to learn, about transportation is quite common.....ONLY believe the Disney bus drivers!)

Anyway, save yourself a major headache and take a Disney bus. Be at your resort bus stop about an hour before your ADR and you should be fine. You will see a turnstile open for Donald's and they will check your name and escort you in a group to the restaurant.

As someone noted, even if you finish early ropes will prevent you from getting very far.
