This one is the $25 mini cake:

Is this cake cover is fondant or is that just icing?

We went on a short 2 night 3 day trip which included 4 character meals and 4 cakes.

Here are the pictures.

Mickey Mouse cake at Chef Mickey's- on the dry side the worst tasting of the ones we ordered.

Woohoo! Thanks for all the great photos everyone. I just ordered an 8 inch cake- vanilla cake white buttercream frosting and dark chocolate moose filling.$25 plus a white chocolate disk with Lightening McQueen and Mater for an extra $15(could have had a free mickey but the boys are really into Cars right now) Being delivered to our room this Saturday:cool1: !!! I'll post photos when I get back. Thanks again to everyone for the pictures and ideas!

I'm sure someone else has asked this in the past, but I'm far too lazy (or impatient :p) to look it up. Who would I call if I wanted to have an anniversary cake delivered to our room at the poly? I'd like to surprise my husband.

That is a lot of cake! WOW! Your sweet tooths must have been aching after eating all that cake! Yummy.

I just talked with Contemporary Resort concierge regarding a birthday cake for our dinner at California Grill. He referred me to Private Dining. We are a party of 6 and I asked about a 8 inch cake. They gave me two choices - all vanilla cake or an all chocolate cake. No special decorations are available for that size.

This seems to confirm that if you want special decorations you need to order the 10 inch size cake. I decided not to go to the 10 inch cake because that would be just too big for us.

Do you have the number for Private Dining at CR? We are staying at CR in May and celebrating my daughter's birthday. I wanted to order her a cake as a surprise. Thanks!

We had reservations at Flying Fish Cafe and I ordered a 6inch specialty cake for my Dad's 60th birthday! My choice was pretty much just vanilla or chocolate. The cake was fantastic! Disney's buttercream icing is the best! :goodvibes

That cake looks great. What number did you call to have this delivered to Flying Fish, or did you pick it up somewhere? We are eating there in May and that would be a good option for our group. Thanks!

I'm sorry if I missed it somewhere in this thread, but can cakes be delivered to your room if you're staying in a value resort (ASMU)? And do only certain bakeries/restaraunts deliver cakes? I'd like to order a small cake for DH's birthday next month, but I don't want to give it to him in a park/restaraunt for two reasons: we're on the dining plan, so I know we'll be too full to eat it after dining, and I don't want to carry any leftover cake around the parks. So if I can have it delivered to the room (or the hotel in general), that'd be great...thanks! :confused3

Most bakeries do not deliver to anywhere but their own resort.

Values do not have their own bakeries but some have reported seeing cakes in the food court fridge.

Deluxes have their own bakeries.

Sometimes a delivery can be arranged from the Boardwalk Bakery for those staying at Beach Club and Boardwalk and they would call their resort to try and arrange it.

You can go to the Boardwalk bakery and do a pick up though.

GF does not deliver and is not a 'real' bakery that you can go and visit and pick up a cake from.

Anyone know if Saratoga Springs can do anything??? Want a cake in the room.

They won't deliver a cake to the room at SSR...but the last time I was there, I ordered a cake from Olivia's at OKW and they delivered it over to the store at SSR for pickup after 5 pm. I picked it up and surprised my DD in our villa!

Hope with all the "cake chatter" on this thread about the standardization that they will still do this...

can i just say spencer is incredibly lucky! :goodvibes

Thanks! But my cake was not the miniature $25 one, mine was about $180. I made a detailed post about it on page 38 of this thread if you're interested! :)

We are having DS's b'day celebration at Cap'n Jacks. Does anyone know which bakery will deliver a b'day cake there? Or do they make them there?
