Double Stroller Rental Question

I just received a planning your DL Vacation DVD in the mail and watched it yesterday. I was planning on bringing my double umbrella stroller (and there are 3 young kids) and having one of our kids just be on DH's back. However when I watched the video, I saw what looked like hard plastic double stroller rental. Can anyone tell me if this costs more than the single? It may be worth if for me to rent, ... because it would be so much sturdier than my umbrella,.. and much easier for 2 of the kids to lap on top of each other.

PS: The kids are small.. 5, 4, & 4

Doubles are only at WDW, there are only singles at DL so I would bring your own. Plus for the to/from hotels and DTD, it will be WAY worth it!

If you don't think your double umbrella stroller is sturdy enough -- you can always rent two singles in the park. We did that last time -- we rented one for our 6 month old and one for our 3 year old. It worked out with DH and I each pushing a stroller. But, like Matterhorn said, if you are walking to and from the park -- you'd probably just like to bring your own.

We have decided to bring our double stroller.. however can someone tell me if they have ever brought their double jogger stroller to the park? IF they did and flew to DL, did you gate check it in? Another question is,.. a friend has one of those bike trailer strollers, has anyone brought this in to DL or flew in and gate check it?

I can't belive they don't have doubles at DL. Usually we get one for ds6 to share with his cousins we meet up with at the park (6 & 7). We can squeeze them all in and sometimes a fourth cousin (9) can pop in for a short ride. Of course there is times where nobody wants to ride and it holds our bags.

I believe the singles were $15 and doubles $18 at WDW.

My bike trailer stroller has a big leg sticking out in front with the front tire under it. People would surely trip over it. As for jogging strollers, they are all over there so it shouldn't be a problem. Yes you can gate check it, but I would only ever bring one if it has a swivel wheel up front. My friend brought her's with a stationary wheel and she could barely move her wrists after 3 days from having to push down to turn!

I think you might feel a little conspicuous too......the walkways are so much narrower.......I think two singles would be easier on all involved.DL is much more compact and it is easier to pace yourselves, and possibly only need the strollers at night (especially if you are taking a pm nap back at the hotel.) So the kids can fall asleep when they need to.
