Hi All,:)
Just wondered whats the deal with the soft drinks once you are on-board the ship? I remember getting a soft drinks sticker on our card while cruising wi Princess and remember getting something like that with DCL a few years ago, but i remember reading somewhere that Disney now have free soft drinks, is this true or is there still a pre-payed soda package available?:confused3 I know you can pre purchase cans of soda for your cabin but its the all day sodas i would like to know of please. :)

Thankyou

Sodas are free on DCL these days!!! They are free with meals (except room service) and from the drink station. You pay if you order them from a bar or room service. The drink station is a series of serve yourself foutnains (plus coffe, milk and tea) on deck 9 near the Mickey Pool. There aer also free soda stations near the BBQ area at Castaway Cay. So, fountain sodas are widely available and free of charge. Canned sodas will cost you.

Thanks for the quick reply Hadley!:thumbsup2 That's great news, when i first heard this, i thought it was too good to be true, but, obviously i was wrong!;)

Thanks again for the info,
Much Appreciated,
Audrey:)

No problem. Being the Coke addicted person that I am it was GREAT news for me when they started it as well. I wish Princess would follow suit.

LOL! :rotfl: I have to agre with you on the Princess drinks as we found the package quite expensive

Here is a pic of a typical soda machine on DCL...there are about 3 or 4 of these in the drink station area along with the coffee, tea, hot cocoa, milk, creamer, stirrers, sugar, lids, straws, napkins, etc. Ignore the sign for mugs for $3.00...at the time they were selling off their stock of the mugs from the paid drink program.

I love a big mug of soda with lots of ice. Will it be rude/strange of me to bring my own large mug to fill at the drink station?

This being my first cruise, I don't want to be the one making the big DCL faux pas by bringing my own mug.

Thanks in advance,

Linda

Ooh! Thanks for the fab pics! They'r great!
Thankyou for all the answers, most kind:)

We get the large cups, fill them half full of coke and then go over to the ice cream station and make floats!!

Oh, I did this, too!

One thing to know about the soda station is that sometimes late in the day the cups will run out on the main one, but if you look off to the side, you'll see a couple more fountains that most folks didn't use -- so there would be cups there.

I think I have read several times that people bring their own "large mouth" type cups to hold more ice etc. Or their own large cup to cut down on soda "trips". Someone else on here will surely set me straight if I'm wrong.:thumbsup2

I see Sprite in the photo, but anyone know if there's Diet Sprite or Caffeine Free Diet Coke? Thanks!

We bring our large "Bubba Jugs" with us,saves running back and forth. I want to say that they're 10oz glasses at the stations.
