So ladies what do you like to wear to the park? I'm trying to figure out what kind of clothes I need to buy for our trip in June. Not to be gross but I'm not a small size(12) and often will sweat and my thighs will rub together:scared1: So I need to plan wisely for the best comfort. Any tips?

capris, bermuda shorts, cotton culottes, cotton tops and CROCS! I also like to wear a denim skirt

For me in warmer weather it's capri's or longer length shorts (at least a 6" inseam) with a t, tank or cami depending on how hot it is (not a small girl myself but comfort is important and I make sure not too much skin is showing). I just recently got my first pair of Crocs (Disney ones), and I love them already for walking around DL.

I've not gone when it was hot yet, but we're going in late May and I plan to take capris and my longer shorts.

Capris, tees and tanks. Obviously no skirts if you are worried about the thigh thing (I can soooo relate).

And don't forget your Crocs flip flops! :thumbsup2

I usually go to DL in the summertime and when I do I'm always wearing jean shorts and a short sleeve top with comfortable walking shoes. :goodvibes

Along these lines, do you all recommend Crocs for kids to wear? My kids love theirs, and I want them to wear whatever will help eliminate blisters and sore feet...

What do you all think? Crocs with bare feet, Crocs with socks, or good tennis shoes with socks?

Capri pants & t-shirt. I carry a backpack for kid stuff and it has a tendency to pull tank straps in weird directions:scared1: I don't have crocs, but wear my Merril athletic sandals all the time. Kids love their teva sandals w/o socks. Whatever sandal you wear, make sure it's comfortable if the bottom of your feet sweat. I only mention that because my old sandals didn't dry quickly and it was horrible in hot weather. My kids also like longer shorts. They hate it when they stick to seats/benches with bare legs. We also always sit on the ground for parades etc.

thanks disqueen, yeah my feet actually do sweat alot! I read up somewhere here that you could buy those athletic socks that keep cool and draw away the sweat or something to that degree. So I'm gonna buy those and a comfortable sneaker. I was thinking a pair of capris or long shorts,a few tops, new bathing suit,a sundress for nice dinners out and a new pair of sandles. I'd also like a messenger baggalini but not sure if that's in my budget.

Me and all three of my kids wear their crocs at DLR. We all usually start with socks, then shed them later in the day as we are doing water rides (they get put in the backpack), then put them back on when it gets cool at night.

As someone who spends an ENORMOUS amount of time at DLR without actually working there I run the gamut of clothing depending on the time of year. Right now my favorite outfit happens to be a pair of danskin capri workout pants (not the leggings type) and a comfy sleeveless shirt (not a tank - too much skin but I also don't like a farmer tan). I recently tried crocs for walking around the parks and HIGHLY recommend them (this coming from a sensitive foot gal - no blisters and no hot spots - plus I wore them barefoot for three days in a row on hot days). I also like to wear bermuda shorts (very hip in Cali right now) and tee shirts or sleeveless tops. I am a fan of the flat style fanny pack now (used to only use a back pack). Always bring a lightweight jacket, even in the middle of August as it can get very cold at night.

Hope this helps!

i like to wear shorts/pants that have lots of "easy access" pockets. like cargo shorts/pants. only because i can store my ap there, and whip it out quick to get fastpasses. and store some cash for quick bites/snack/etc. not having to dig into the backpack for wallet, etc.

i like to wear flip flops. we have these flip flops from hawaii that are so comfy!!

and i like to wear tank tops...so i don't get a farmer's tan (only in the summer times) and in winter/cold weather, i like to layer...so i can take off my sweatshirt & tie it around my waist.

how fun to plan a trip & go shopping for clothes!! :flower:
