Hav done the Cinderella, Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace what others should we do?

Hi we'll be going back next January. Kids will be DS and friend 15, Ds and friend 11, and DD 3. Any new character meals we should try? Do we stick to the favorites (chef mickey and crystal palace) none of us thought the Cinderella breakfast was spectacular , but boys were boys and dd was only 18 months, so I'm not opposed to doing it again, just thought maybe something else girly out there?

Help and opinions appreciated!

If you are looking for girly - you have two options. Princess meal at Akershaus in Norway at Epcot. Have done both breakfast and lunch there, food is pretty good - but you are there to see the princesses!!! Not as pricey or as hard to get into as Cindy's breakfast, but a good 2nd choice. Your other "girly" option is 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. They have a breakfast buffet with the Alice in Wonderland crew and sometimes Pooh and Tigger. They have a dinner with Cinderella and friends as well. Both very good food and atmosphere. Another good character meal is Liberty Tree Tavern at MK. Minnie and friends are there with a Thanksgiving dinner meal. Very good food and selection. Good Luck and have fun!

I have an ADR in June for 1900 Park Fare's breakfast - I think it's called the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast? I'm really excited about it - heard the buffet is one of the best; I've read the menu and it does sound really good with lots of choices. Also, the Alice in Wonderland characters include the Mad Hatter, which a lot of people have said he is just a hoot!, very entertaining; I think boys and girls should both like this one.

We did CRT and weren't overly impressed overall - we plan on doing it again when the kids are a little bit older. I think ours were just too young to appreciate it, but momma sure liked it!!

We also have done 1900 Park Fare for dinner. That was a lot of fun. Prior to being seated, the Mice from Cinderella were in the lobby taking pics with kids and such. The character interaction and food was good.

We did O'hana's last year for breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto and it was a wonderful breakfast. In fact we liked it so much it's on our list for this year. The interaction was great and the food was very good!

I really enjoyed 1900 Park Fare. The food was great and there was a great assortment of characters too. Mary Poppins was out in the lobby and Alice, Mad Hatter, Rabbit (who was filling in for Tigger that day) and Pooh went from table to table. It does have just enough of the female face characters like Alice and Mary Poppins for the daughter, but probably won't be too girlie for the sons either. Plus, all the characters, especially Mary Poppins, Alice and the Hatter, were great at interacting with everyone. Definatly one of my favorite meals on property.

My recommendation would be the Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner. My husband and I were there for MVMCP and he absolutely loved it. We were like two little kids getting pictures with all of the characters. Dinner was also very good.

Our DD 4 is super into Little Einsteins and JoJo's Circus (so is her little brother). The Hollywood and Vine Playhouse Disney Character meal might be good if your little girl likes those characters.

Oh my gosh!!! She LOVES "Rocket' as she calls Little Einsteins. i didn't know about this one.

I think we will try the Park Fare for dinner? ithink that's what people said to try for Cinderella again. That or the Norway one. I also think we will try the LTT for a different Mickey experience, and possibly the Lilo and Stitch deal too. So much helpful information!

do they still have a Villian themed meal somewhere?

It's funny...in rereading your initial post, sounds like you're going in Jan '08. We're going to be going that month too (hopefully!). Jan 5th - 11th, if everything works out. We'll be doing both H&V and 1900 at some point on the trip.

Yep we are going Jan 26th to Feb 3rd of 2008. With all of the ADR stuff so far in advance, you need to have your ideas in a row!

I am definately doing the Einstein at Hollywood and Vine (MGM right?) and will do the Cinderella at the Grand Floridian. We did the breakfast there, and it was beautiful! The Mad Hatter was funny Also going to try out LTT at MK. So you add that into the "have to" of my kids of Chef Mickeys, Pooh at Crystal Palace, Coral Reef for my husband, and we're set!

For anyone interrested, we did the meal at Living with the Land with Pluto and friends. It was fun, not my favorite, but fun!

1900 Fare evening buffet is fantastic it has Cinderella, her prince, the mice and the fairy god mother. I think it is the best food Disney has to offer.

From my trip report of 2/20-2/27...

Today is the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Drove over to the GF(you go through the MK toll plaza) and tell them you are going to the hotel. We parked in the guest parking and checked in at the restaurant. We waited about 10 minutes and were seated near the back of the restaurant. If you have ever been there, there is a small back room with about 8 or 10 tables. Our table was in the Main room adjacent to this back room. Since none of the characters were close by, we went up and got our food. Wife and DD both had omelets as there was no line at the omelet station. I had the southwestern scrambled eggs, home fries with corn beef, sausage and fruit. Went back a second time for more eggs and some bacon. We also had some danishes and muffins afterwards. All food was proper temp and of good quality. Waitress service for beverages was very good. Characters at the breakfast were Mary Poppins in the restaurant lobby, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh & Tigger. If you take a few second to figure out how they rotate, you won't have to miss the characters while being at the buffet line. Alice came around first(and made it around 2 more times), Pooh second(made it around a second time), Tigger third. Got good pictures with all of them. We had to wait a little while for the Mad Hatter as he interacts at each table more than the other characters. No one asked us to get up and go. It seemed like we could have stayed as long as we wanted. Just as the Mad Hatter was about to hit our table, one of the CM's asked him to take a couple of quick pictures with parties who were in a hurry to leave. When he got back to our table, he sat down next to DD and apologized for the delay. He then proceeded to go through all the different tea bag types on the table complaining that he didn't like many of them. He was very good and worth the wait. We snapped one picture with Mary Poppins and DD on the way out. We had a WONDERFUL time and well worth the $65-70 including tax and tip.

One side note...I was surprised at a number of people who came in, ate and left within 20-25 minutes. No interest in the characters. Just eat and go. Some of the parties had young kids too. Very puzzling.
