I will be at the World this summer with my husband, but one day I will be all by myself while he is working. I want to get up and go eat a big breakfast somewhere good. Probably at a resort or like DTD or the Boardwalk. Where you all you DISers recommend and what is good to eat there?

Trails End Buffet over at Ft. Wilderness is always good. I have never had breakfast there, but I can tell you dinner is good. I have heard good reviews about it for breakfast here on the dis boards.

I really liked 1900 park fare breakfast buffet. We have also done ohana and norway both were okay. Boma seems to get great reviews for breakfast as well as other meals.

My vote is for Kona Cafe in the Poly. Rest. isn't too big & get the Tonga Toast....I dream about it all year until I get to the world!

Kona Cafe at the Poly is wonderful. Try to get a table facing outside. Seeing the Palm trees and all the outside greenery is so refreshing Tonga toast is incredible. Just came back and Kona Cafe was my first stop. I was by myself and so enjoyed a quiet breakfast:banana:

I would go to Kona....
If you like coffee....best coffee on property....IMO

I also like the Galley and Spoodles, they are both on the Boardwalk side. Also Pikabu at the Dolphin, buffeteria style...quick breakfast and I believe they serve Starbucks coffee....I have not been there this year, but they always did in the past..

Also at the Dolphin, Fresh Mediterranean Market does breakfast....I have not eaten there but thought I would suggest it as another option.

I know it's not on property but I really love Golden Corral. I love the fact that the buffet has lots of vegetables, fresh fruit and cereal so that you can actually choose to be healthy if you want (I rearly want to though ;) )

I agree. Love all the buffet breakfasta off-property. Especially the Golden Corral.

I've eaten breakfast solo at several different places, including the afore-mentioned Trail's End, which was OK, but they didn't give me a very good location. My favorite, which I never expected to enjoy, was a character breakfast-Cape May Cafe! It was so much fun to pass the time watching all the kids interacting with the characters. And if you think anyone's looking at you "all by yourself", they're not-everyone's looking at the characters. And the characters are so in-tune to your desires. After the first time around, when they gave me a big hug, they seemed to know I just wanted to sit back and watch. So they just waved or blew me a kiss when they went by after that. And the food and service were excellent.

I totally agree. My wife and I always have a great time having breakfast at the Cape May Cafe. Between watching the children and eating a delicious breakfast, you won't feel alone. Enjoy!
