Things to do by Legoland?

We will be going to LL on a Sunday, are there more things to do around there in the evening after the park closes? I heard there is a beach near by and an outlet store, what are the names of these?

The Carlsbad Premium Outlets is just west of Legoland. You can't miss it:

The Museum of Making Music is also right next to the park:

Depending on when you're heading up to Legoland, the Flower Fields are a pretty sight (March/April):

There are many beaches along the coast in San Diego County. South Carlsbad State Beach is nice:

Hi -

We just went to Legoland today and had a great time! It started as a very rainy day, so there were very few people there and very short lines. :yay:

At 5pm, when the park closed, we headed straight west on Palomar Airport Rd. (where Legoland is), then headed north on 101 until we got to the boardwalk area of Carlsbad. We hit sunset just perfectly and it was beautiful. We ate at Harbor Fish, then headed back to our hotel in San Diego.

It was a great day. Hope you have a great day too!

Stephany

Thank you!

Stephany, your idea sounds great. And hey we are neighbors :) I am in Redmond WA

I am thinking that your little side trip sounds great, we will be heading back to DL after legoland, but a little dinner in the kids tummies would make for a shorter trip.

Although the flower feilds sound really fun as well. Oh the decisions!

There's a great diner in the Premium Oulet mall next to Legoland called Ruby's. GREAT place to dine after Legoland and a kids' favorite. Food for grown-ups is mighty tasty, too.

I have heard other poeple talk about Ruby's restaurant. I think we will try it out when we are there in March.

We've been to Ruby's and it is a good diner to bring the kids.

We stayed at the Grand Pacific Palisades Hotel on our last Legoland trip (right near Legoland). They had a brewery restaurant there. I can't remember the name, but the food was great.

thanks everyone! I can't wait, we will be leaving soon.

We have a Rubys here and the kids love to eat there. I will look into the Brewry as well.
